I know that Alicia has been away, I'm hoping she is home and can give us an update on little Joey. I've been thinking about him so much!

Hi everyone!!! Joey is GREAT!
 
I just arrived on the red eye this morning. Joey is doing SO WELL - he is 100% back to normal - it is truly a miracle of God. I cannot believe how well he recovered in the short time I was away. Grandma did such a good job nursing him back to health.

He gives Mommy and Daddy kisses and is soooo excited that we are home. He is just doing so well - I can't believe it!!!!!! Every step i take I worry about stepping on him again, but I consider this paranoia a blessing, so hopefully no more accidents will take place.

Is anyone in the NYC area? If so, I would love for you to meet Joey someday soon - he is such a loving and wonderful puppy, and we are so blessed to have him.

oh alicia that is wonderful news we live in central nj but we come into the city all the time. we would love to come to the city and meet him!!!! is it ok if we bring tucker???

I just got the biggest case of the goosebumps!!! Joey's was one of the first threads that I followed on YT after joining, so he's always been on my mind. (Especiallly since the thread magically disappeared :zip: )

I was SO worried that the same thing could happen to my new baby Dublin. I never imagined in a million years that these little buggers could move/leap so fast!!!

Finally, you can relax a bit and enjoy him!!

Saint fancis has NEVER let me down.... I started using his prayer 4 years ago for every animal in distress or that needed protection. From strays running into the street to Joey's "miraculous" recovery" It works.

I urge all YTers use it frequently :p

What wonderful news!! It's so good to know he is doing so well. Because of Joey I now hang a little necklace collar with bells on Kiko when he is roaming the house so everyone has an idea of where is. Sherry Lynn hit the nail right on the head! Thank God little Joey is so much better!!

:) You may want to put a bell on his collar just so you dont have any more accidents. We had to do that with Princess so my son wouldnt step on her works great. Again glad to hear Joey is better and I bet he missed his mommy and daddy while you were gone give him lots of kisses and snuggles.. :p

Oohh I forgot to mention that Grandma bought a bell for his collar, and you're right - it makes a huge difference. We know where he is every second now! I will post pictures soon - he is such a handsome little guy.

So glad that he is OK. I too had to put a bell on Preslee since she is so quick to be underfoot. Im glad that everything worked out for you with him and that he is happy and healthy.

I am soooo thankful that Joey's recovered!!! I have checked every day for news! The Toto & I are getting ready to go to the airport [early flight] ... will be home [Alabama] for a visit until July 21st! Toto says "Good job, Joey"!!

I have a friend who has given me little St Francis medals to put on my other dog's collars. Now I'm going to get one for Dublin to jingle next to that bell I'm going to buy!

Please make sure you are using a quick release collar or one for cats that will stretch and come off if he gets snagged on anything. Goodness knows , that boy has been thru enough, and came thru with flying colors..

it is a cat collar that is on him - does that mean it will come off if it gets caught?

I got little cat collars with tiny bells for the puppies. They are easy break so if they get caught on something they break off. They cannot be used with a leash very long, so be careful of that. I would get a harness rather than hook onto the collar.
