Addicted, I think it's great that you have thick skin and can take everyone's opinions without getting upset. I don't think anyone has been mean, just some people have been very opinionated.

This is not directed at you, but at the ones who think that the only time your allowed to post an opinion is only to agree. Sites like this are great because it lets us DISCUSS. I agree, sometimes you just need to vent and sometimes you just want support, but when you ask for opinions, you will get just that!

As for your particular case, I do agree that it's not very nice what you did to Ducky and Turtle's owner, but I can understand why you did it, and I know you're truly sorry and you probably won't do it again.

As for adopting Ducky and Turtle, I think you should let it go. If you're having even the slightest financial problems now, it's better to save some money for any emergencies. I would love to adopt another dog, but I can't swing the potential emergency. My Bitsy already has vet insurance, I have a credit card that I make sure always has $5000 left on it and I have a separate savings account for my cats. Even then, I would worry.

Right now, take the time to enjoy "man" and see what your finances are in 6 months to a year.

I know you have the best intentions, but try not to take on more than you can handle. I wasn't saying that you depend on your boyfriend for financial help with the yorkies, but if you are living with him, I'm sure he's helping out with the some of the finances around the house. It sounds like you're struggling financial why bring more stress into your life? A pet consumes a lot of time, money, and energy. I wish I could own 100 yorkies but I know its not in my best interest or the yorkies. Did you mention you already have 4 yorkies?

You might not like what I have to say, but I'm not going to sugar coat everything. If I did, I wouldn't be wasting my time replying to your post. I always give my honest opinion and I wasn't attacking you. Just giving you my opinion. Whatever you decide to do with it is up to you.

Frankly, I'm tired of being attack every single time I give an honest opinion. What's the point of posting on here if you only want to hear one side ( the good side).

I had been wondering if you ever got Turtle & Duckie - actually had thought about you & the 2 of them frequently, so I just went on a search for them & found this thread from last month about Man that I had missed..........so now I'm wondering about all 3 of these sweet yorkies??

I have been going through so much. I had the flu for the past week. Yesterday I just found out one of my close friend had just passed and he was only 23. He left behind 2 young boys and a wife, whom is my cousin. I can't even think about my whole dilemma now. I've been grieving, but didn't want to involve others on Yorkietalk, so I never said anything. It hurts so much to keep it to yourself. The holidays are just barely ending. My financial state hasn't changed much. The last time I talked to the owner of Turtle and Duckie, they said they're planning on keeping them. I haven't spoken with them since. I'm still very sorry about the whole situation. I really didn't mean to upset anyone. As for "Man"... I had given him the name "Chance". I really think that names suits him. I have decided not to give him to my Aunt because I thought about their schedules and it wouldn't work out. I have been rehabilitating Chance for the past month. I must say, he is doing quite well. He already picked up the new name. He is not as timid as before. Another YT member has inquired information on taking him. I think Chance has fully recovered. I will keep in contact with this member. As for now, I can't even think about my problems. My friends and family are going through a hard time right now. This is so surreal. Thanks for checking up.

Thanks for you condolence. I'm still in disbelief :(:(:(... He was in a coma since New Years Eve and his heart stopped beating yesterday morning. I didn't even find out til yesterday noon. No one wanted to say anything. I just can't imagine what my cousin is going through and especially her kids. They are only 3 and 5 years old. When I woke up this morning I was hoping it was a dream. I'm trying to go on with my life, but it's just not the same. The good really do die young. I do know that he is resting in peace now. He was a loving guy. He would do anything in this world for his kids. Even though he was young, he had a BIG HEART. Thank you so much Dawn for your kind words.

Linda, I'm so sorry for your family, and especially this young family.... They will be in my prayers for comfort and peace. I pray God will surround you all with his loving arms.

This is a pretty old thread. I hope you read all the post on here for a better understanding. I did not want him more than Turtle and Duckie. I am going to rehome this little guy. I have been rehabilitating him and he is doing well. I will rehome him after the mourning of my dear family and friend. Thanks for your input anyways.

Thank you so much for updating. I am so sorry that asking for an update again brought out opinions about your situation. I am so sorry to learn about the death of your friend. I will pray for you, as it sounds like you have so much on your plate right now. Praying the best for you and Chance and Turtle & Duckie - surprised that their owners are planning to now keep them.

I understand where you are coming from and like others have said only you know what you can do but I can tell you this - I am on the board of my local Humane Society and I ended up with quite a few cats because they were abused or going to be put down, etc. It got to the point that all my money not going for bills was going to the care of the cats and if my vet had not been very understanding I don't know what would have happened. I ended up in a real mess but I had made them my responsibility and it was years of me doing without so much - I am not sorry but I am much more careful now about what I do. As they became elderly and passed away I did not get another one and now thank goodness I have gotten control of my life again. I still have a couple of very healthy cats and I have my two yorkies and that's it. I learned a very hard lesson that I can't save them all. I am not saying this could happen to you but you really need to think about how much you can afford and if they get sick the vet bills could run very high.
