This has never happened to me but I heard that you can put a little bit of sugar.

I've never had this problem, but the only thing I can think of is a warm bath or maybe some vaseline. I dunno. Sorry.

it went back in Thanks goodness called the vet and he said give a cold bath if this happens to anyone else

It is normal for things to slip out but if it won't go back in... check to see if some hair has gotten in the way (the hair stops his lipstick from being able to slip back in).

EEEEWWWWW! I only have girls so have never hade lipstick that would not retract! That is so funny. Glad that he's ok!!!

I'm glad it went back in. I had this problem with my Chi once and the Vet told me WARM water.

Ya i'm glad it went back in to lol i didn't to do any of the next stepes he suggested hahaha it involver KY jelly and touching it EWWWWWWWWW:eek:

Wow if you think that's bad with an itty bitty Yorkie........imagine a 1,500 pound horse with that problem. I used to show horses and that would happen more than you would want to know. What did we do? Usually nothing, it would "go away" eventually.

LOL... the only male dog i have is my boxer... I have NEVER heard it called a lipstick before and took me a few to actually figure out what you were talkin about LoL... Cold water works everytime lol

Ok... I skimmed the title and post...w/o my glasses or contacts... not a good idea. I thought you were saying he ate lipstick and it was stuck coming out w/ his crap! I have never heard "that" called lipstick... and since the color lipstick I wear is the same color Casper's always was...now I am scarred... I will think of it every time... and I can't change... it is "my" color! lol

I too thought they were always suppose to hang out. Our labs was always wet and glisseny and hanging... it always made me want to vomit! Casper's was out quite a bit. I don't know if I would know if it was stuck... since I thought it was suppose to be that way! Don't you know vet's laugh when they get these questtions! "What should I do w/ my dog's penis?"

this happened to one of our patients today at work. We had to check on his every couple hours and make sure it wasn't sticking out. If it was we use KY to lube it up and stick it back in. if the lube doesn't work, we use sugar.

I'm glad I use lipstick that comes with an applicator! You know, that cover girl long lasting stuff that's more like paint.
