I was going to comment on that also. I'm not saying that your dog is mixed, but the papers are only as reliable as the breeder. There are many mixed dogs out there with papers that say they are purebred.

The AKC cannot DNa every dog out there.

I don't know of any other breed of dog that changes color like yorkies do. they are pretty unique.

I have a little blondie! Her mustache is a little more dark than the rest of her body. When people ask me if she is a yorkie they are always shocked when I say yes. And then there are some that don't know what to think of her. I just love being her mommy it is one of the highlights of my life! Someday I would like to add a few more types of yorkie to my family. Have you seen any of the gorgeous Biewer yorkies on here? And the delicious looking chocolates? They are all so cute!

Ah she is so beautiful.:D . I love the way her coat reflects the light. Boots coat also refects light like that. I think it looks so pretty.

We used to have a friend with a male Yorkie that was pure silver, no gold or brown or rusty color at all. He was silver too, like sterling, not bluish. His name was Sherman, and he was the sweetest thing. I have never seen a totally silver Yorkie since.

I have a white/blonde yorkie too! He was black and tan when I bought him, but then after a couple years his coat had grown in fully platinum blonde! Of course it's possible he's not 100% yorkie, but I love my unique baby!

I'm curious how old your baby is?

Tink is 3 and still changing color. She is a very light silver/blue on her body but her roots are almost silver white now. :confused:

Hey girl.:D She is almost 2 now, I cant beleive the change in her. Maybe you will be posting a pic of Tinkerbell in here soon.:D

I have a Q :) If there face is all blonde will there body coat turn blonde as well, mollys face is all blonde but her body is light gray, all these babies are gorgeous:) my orthers are all tan/black. just curious.

I will get a good pic of her. Her hair finally has grown out quite a bit from a summer haircut, so she's looking much better! LOL

Well Boots coat on her back is silver also, but everytime she has a hair cut it grows back lighter, so she is almost white.

Hello all!

Tofu is a little blondey too! I took him in without any papers from another family and was told that he was a yorkie. But I'm not 100% sure if he's pure. But he sure looks like some of the ones that have been posted on here. They are all soooo cute!! :animal-pa

awww all of your lighter babies are beautiful! Isn't it amazing how Yorkies change so much?! That was one of the reasons I started looking into getting one ;) Theres never a dull day with a Yorkie! So many changes and so many new things always coming :)

My Sunnie gets lighter day by day. He is 4 years old now and just keeps getting whiter and whiter. Here are pics of him as a baby and at about 18 months and now

I agree! I've never seen one that looks like our blondies on the streets, only here. They are all gorgeous!

I can't seem to find a pic without clothes on so that you all can see what Tofu looks like, so this one will have to do. :animal-pa

I love seeing the pics of Sunny morphing :D . We'll never get bored with them, they change color so much.:eek:

I have a AKC Yorkie, Yorkies are all I have and they are all akc. I had a beatiful blue born last night.
