Very Very Important! Everyone listen up! Today I saved a dog's life ! A yorkie was left in a car with the windows cracked open. The dog was panting and crying. It would have been dead if I didn't call the police and find the owner. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOGS IN THE CAR under any circumstances, the temperature inside a parked vehicle can spike to 160 degrees in minutes, even with windows open! I, and about 8 other people called the cops, who came and gave this idiot a ticket. If I see this I always call the police and report ANIMAL CRUELTY. |
Good for you!!!!! :) |
Bless your heart!!!!! Thank you so much for your intervention.Bet the jerk who left that dog in the car was pissed that someone would even take any responsibility for rescung that baby..A pox on his house is my opinion.. |
what were they thinking??? Good for you!!!! |
We can only HOPE those people learned their lesson - that poor poor baby - Good thing you heard him and bless you for acting ! Way to go ! |
Good for you! That makes me so mad!!!! I'm so glad you were there and took action. I can't believe people do that this time of year but I hear about pets or kids dying in cars every year. They say it doesn't even have to be really hot outside to make the temp inside the car go up enough to kill somebody. I wish he had given the dog to someone whom cares. |
You are a hero to this little dog. I hope that the owners got into trouble for their actions! |
great Wonderful...it is a $700 fine here for leaving a dog in a car. |
Way to go! I hope those owners learn their lesson before it is too late. And being such a small dog, why couldn't they just take it with them??? I hope that little guy/girl is ok. My love goes out to him/her. :luvu: By the way... what is a pox? |
Oh how true. Good for you, that poor baby! I write for the local newspaper, and a few weeks ago I did a story on just this - how fast the car heats up and how dangerous it is for animals. |
Dog in car Way to go!! |
God bless you Hannah!!! ;) |
I know I am preaching to the choir but If you see a pet in a parked car please call the police. This is the only way to get to these type of people, hit them where it hurts- their wallets! Take down license plate numbers and most importantly make sure the dog is okay- they should be taken to the VET even if they appear okay. |

You go girl!!! I would have done the same thing....someone ought to leave them in the car and see how they like it!!! Glad you were there to help. |
I don't understand these type of people. You would not leave a kid in the car so why a dog. The pup was lucky you came along and rescued him. |
Sometime people are just idiots. Here in Fl they would be dead in two minutes with our heat, not to mention putting your yorkie into the tempting hands of thieves. People break into to cars for a lot less. Way to go |
yay you.......... although i have to say i have been on the recieving end of this "wrath" (undeserved), i had just parked in the starbucks parking lot and i had my golden retreiver in the car, all the windows were open and i had only pulled into the parking lot to check my tire,...... this woman started YELLING at me, that i coudlnt go in the store and just leave my dog in the car (I WASNT EVEN GOING IN THE STORE, I WAS CLEARLY CHECKING MY TIRES??? ) Obviously this woman was a concerend citizen but some people just take it too far, i swear she was about ready to assault me, even after i told her what i was doing and that i wasnt leaving the dog at all..... she started getting out her cell phone to call the police, and then i told her i was going to press charges against her for harassment or something if she didnt shut up and go on with her buissness, she called them anyways (idiot)..... i just left, i didnt need to deal with that, it was obvious i wasnt leaving my dog and this person was stark raving mad..... anyways, good for you, that doggy owes you its life |
The jerk's response :dog: Quote:

Way to go!!!! |
I cant even imagine leaving my dog in this kind of heat in my car!!!! I would have called the cops too! Good for you! Genie |
It is so hot here, I burn myself on the seatbelt everytime I get in the car! Good job on calling the police. Last year an awful lot of children died in cars - it was horrible. |
It's a good thing that I didn't see that, I might just have had to "rescure" the poor dog myself by breaking his window and leaving with the dog  He doesn't deserve to keep him anyway if that's the way he takes care of him. Good for you, for taking legal action, I hope his ticket was lots of $$$... |
That is terrible. Thank goodness for you. |
Good for you, you saved his life. What an irresponsible owner! |
Good job and YT is made up of alot of wonderful people with big hearts.. That poor baby... :aimeeyork   |
