When i got Heidi, she was soooooo tiny! my mum told me to take her back as she should still be with her mother! Luckily, she did very well and had a fantastic apetite. she grew to be between 5-6lbs as an adult...Pixie is far far smaller..there is NO WAY she would have left her mother at 8 weeks...she was only 1.5 lbs at 14+ weeks! imagine how tiny she would have been at 8 wks! |
My puppies don't go until they are 12 weeks old. I won't ship a puppy unless they are 12 weeks and over 2#--still prefer they go in the cabin with a person--I don't want them to be cargo. |

I just think it depends on who is getting them..Not getting them until 12 weeks is fine for some people, if they've never been around dogs, don't know about hypoglycemia, etc. yes, wait..I have no problem with that..but for me, I want them as early as I can get them(anytime between 6-8 weeks)..but, like I also stated, I am home 24/7, and when I do have to run to the store, then my hubby is here. |
