Yes would love to see a picture...My oldest was smaller than yours at 12 weeks, and she's now 14 pounds full grown...and like someone else stated, more to love!! I wouldn't trade her for the world.

Yoda gained 3 pounds in 3 weeks!!!
 
Yoda was only 2.5 oz. at 9 weeks and is now 5.5 oz. at 12 weeks! Is that normal?

I like the teapots. They have substance and you don't have to worry about things like....walking.

That's odd because after nursing from the mom's milk is over, they don't get much fat from the richness of the milk. So their weight shouldn't speed up, but should add up in a gradual manner...
But maybe he already had his growth spurt...! Sounds like he is a SUPERYorkie to me!!! Hehehe.

im not expert on the subject, but sound like he might be on the bigger end. but when you think of it, even at 10 or 15 lbs, its still a small dog! for some reason when i got my litle boy and heard he was going to be around 4 - 6 lbs i was thinking that that might be too big. TOTAL miscalculation of size!! i saw a 6 pound maltese in the park today and she was tiny! there is also a 12 pound yorkie in my area and he is still quite small! its not like a yorkie would ever get to the size of a lab or anything...even though that would probably still be cute!! :p

Do you mean 2.5 LBS and 5.5 LBS rather than OUNCES?

Good observation. 12-15 lb yorkies are still small for an average sized dog. He'll just be a little heavier, but won't take as much space.

Thats a big weight gain in three weeks...at least it seems like it is to me..but maybe the bigger yorkies grow quick??

His body must be reacting to his growth spurts...I'm sure he will be fine. I'm pretty sure you'll be waking up regularly throughout the night while he's still a puppy. But soon you'll be able to sleep a little longer, hopefully when he gets over his cough.

Do you have any pics of him?

My Lexie is about 10 lbs. She is tall, long, & lean. Not an ounce of fat on her. I was hoping for a 7 or 8 pounder, but she is beautiful just the same. Here's her pic :D
