WELL SAID!!! |
:goodpost: |
Its a crazy world, with a whole lot of crazies in it... It is very sad people can be that way :( but all you can do is feel blessed about who you are and that your not that kinda person :) |
I totally agree with ur post. When I was younger we had a dog I forgot what breed but he was our pet. But when my parents decided to move to the States from Puerto Rico we could not bring him with us and that was very hard on me and my family. But never did we think or had planned that we were going to move to the States and leave the poor dog behind. We did find a good home for him.:) |
Excellent post!   |
I think as long as the person is doing their best to find the perfect home for their pet they have to rehome, that they are doing ALL they can do, and doing a very loving thing by rehoming. People that drop their pets off at shelters I have no compassion for. But rehoming is a VERY different thing and a very traumatic thing to have to go through I am sure. It isn't really anyone's place to judge :( |
Lori, well said~~  |
:clapsmile :clapsmile :clapsmile Thank you for posting this! |
Judge NOT or ye be Judged!!!! Excellant post. I do not post alot because of the way people are judged here. I love the information but try to stay out of ANYTHING that could be taken the wrong way. |
You go girl!!!! :) Great post - just what a lot of people need to hear. |
I haven't really noticed too much of this, but then again, I haven't been all over the Yorkie sale ads lately (too tempting! lol). I did notice that there was a thread with somebody selling an older Yorkie because she wanted to get a new puppy and couldn't have 3 dogs in her apartment. That sparked a negative reaction from people, which would naturally be expected. I've read many ads about re-homing on here, and most of the time people have wished them luck. I think it's only under certain situations that people start to question the motives of the re-homer. Usually when somebody comes on here and has to re-home a pet because of a difficult situation where they can no longer have them, then everybody is sympathetic and understanding. |
You are right. No one knows what the person on the other end is going through and I would think that if they have to rehome a pet, it really is a last resort. I would assume that they are making that decision because they love the pet so much that they truly do want what's best for it.:( Generally speaking though, it really angers me to see people rehoming a pet because it 'got too big' or to rehome one for whatever reason and then turn around and get another, 'newer, better, pet.' :thumbdown Sadly, that is the case sometimes and it just isn't right by the dog(s) involved. I am sorry that your friend got some rude comments and I hope that he/she can look past it and is able to find the perfect home for her little one. Best of luck to her/him. |

Now THIS is true as well...I won't mention names but there was a particular member recently who posted about getting rid of her yorkie to get another one... Now, it's different if it has to do with behavioral problems or health issues, etc. but generally speaking, why would you get rid of one Yorkie to get another? JMO For the most part I stay out of it, but that one made me sad... |
Great post!!  Some people have diarrhea of the mouth and constipation of the brain, that's what I say. |
Thank you.... Thank you all For your Veiws I am Glad there are others out there that feel the way I do. Maybe it will send a message to those that do Judge before they know all. People who Just leave there pets off on a lonely Road or just stop feeding them. Are the Bad ones in my eyes. What a Slow lonely painful death they give them.:thumbdown  :( If they find a home or as a last resort leave at a shelter or with a rescue. I am sure they have done all they can before that. |
