National Dog Show The National Dog Show is on NBC...anybody else watching? I missed the 1st few groups..they're on the hound group now but the best group is last so at least I get to see that. Of course I'm rooting for no other than, the yorkshire Terrier. Does anyone know where the yorkie who's competing came from? what line? Just wondering. Oh well, if you aren't watching already, just thought I'd let you all know it was on..:D |

The yorkie was very nicely groomed! I do love the Australian Shephard...and I agree...the Pekignese is always winning...it is funny to watch them walk though:D All that hair is probably weighing them down even more! |

The tail on the yorkie was kind of long.....are they usually that length? I've always seen shorter. The commentator gives a quick nice verbage on the yorkie history...how they were originally bred to be 12-15lbs but over time, they have been "scaled" down considerably! I'll say...... |
i'm watching it also but have about a hour for the toy group... But someone spoiled it for me...lol Atleast the group that won is my FAVORITE group because of my baby! |

She kept doing it like once per grp especially, & several times the one she made all the noises about was the one that won the group :rolleyes: -- how did she know the winner?? If you missed any of it you can go online to msn & watch any of it you want, I believe they said you could watch even an entire group - like all the yorkies - I haven't had time to look for that though -- I'm suppose to be cooking :p |

one thing that I have noticed while watching these dog shows is they havent been showing the yorkies as much:mad: :mad: .. I just love this breed and when they arent FULLY shown, I cut the tv off...lol I sit there and watch for the toy group and what happens??? They break for a stupid commerical.. and show the Yorkie during the commerical... Then when it comes back on they say WHO went during the break and thats IT.. Im like hmm and flip the channel:aimeeyork |
Aww, it was a very cute yorkie in the show (watched the clip Bellieboo linked). We were eating our turkey dinner when my mom called and told me that the show was on; said when she saw it she immediately thought of me!:D She knows how much I LOVE my babies and the breed in general. Unfortunately, we were in the middle of dinner...and the men had football on, so I missed the show....so thanks, Bellieboo, for the clip! |

last time, they showed a Silky in the terrier group instead of with the yorkies. but I didn't see one this time. of course, I had to miss the toy group since we took the kids out for Thanksgiving. I wonder when they will re-run it on Animal Planet. |
Guess I will have to see it online. Football and soccer is all we get. I have 4 tvs and sports rules here. I should have stolen the remote during the post-turkey snore fest in my livingroom!! |

I watched the maltese and the yorkie on the link posted. The maltese's hair didn't look nearly as nice to me as most I see in dog shows. The yorkie was quite adorable..still very young. To the person that asked about the tail - yes, they are supposed to be that long - docked to medium length. Most yorkie breeders that don't show dock the tails too short |
