We live in GA. I know I've been worried about this too. Hopefully it will be okay when we get there. I figure I'll just cross that bridge when I get to it. He's coming with me regardless so I don't know. But I don't think my Grandma will make me leave if I have to bring him inside. Also, he should be able to just stay in my arms since he is still so little. Skin kids are way more welcome and easier to bring along than furkids. Too bad they are not more welcome by some people. Oh well

Yes, I love my dogs. It broke my heart when my little Sophie died and I would do anything in the world for my babies. I was able to get another yorkie but I cannot ever get another mother :( - as a matter of fact, it took 3 yorkies to even begin to fill the hole in my heart that Sophie left.
I understand where you're coming from. My Grandma died 5 years ago on Thanksgiving. I would give anything to have another holiday with her. If its just a day trip, I would prefer to be with my family, but because the trip will take several days I would probably prefer to be with my furkids too. And it sounds to me like this has to do more with other things than just the dogs. I'd rather be with my dogs that I really do love than with people that I don't get along with that well. JMO, of course! Happy Thanksgiving! :)

Awwww...I am also sorry you are spending the holiday without your hubby and daughters but you have your Yorkie boys to keep you company and the purest, unconditional love and appreciation. I don't go anywhere my babies are not welcome, if I can't sneak hem in, hehe :D . I think you did the right thing! Hopefully, she will come o her senses and feel bad that she split you and your family up this Thanksgiving :(

I too am sorry to hear that your family is split up for Thanksgiving. Hopefully, your MIL will respect your decision not to come.

I wanted to agree with another posted I saw that said her yorkie was just as important to her as people were. Lacy is a part of my family...her not being a human doesn\'t change that...she means the world to me. I can\'t stand to be away from her for more than a few hours during the day...I\'ve only left her before on one vacation and missed her so much the entire time. It\'s almost hard to enjoy the trip because I miss her so much. If it\'s not absolutely necessary to leave her behind, I wouldn\'t.

People w/o dogs... and I don\'t know if they are ... just don\'t understand. However... I don\'t think I could put my dogs above my being w/ all my kids. I am taking 2 puppies to these people\'s house for thanksgiving... they hate dogs... so out of respect mine will be in a playpen or crate the whole time. It won\'t kill my dogs and it won\'t hurt their floors... and I will put them in the finished basement so they don\'t drive them nuts. I have a problem w/ my aunt bringing her Yorkie into my mom\'s house and letting it poop and pee everywhere. If you can\'t potty train your dog... keep it at your house...or keep a diaper on it. No one should have to have someone else\'s poop and pee on their floor... BUT if you have a trained dog... or put it in a play pen... What the crap is the problem w/ bringing them? jmo
