If you didn't have a Yorkie, what breed of dog would you get?
 
If you didn't have a Yorkie :aimeeyork, what would be the next canine breed you would go for?

I think I would get a Pomeranian...! :animal36

A Miniature Poodle, most likely. Or I would go completely in the other direction and get a Great Dane.

If I didn't have a yorkie - then I would GET a yorkie :p

Seriously, if yorkies didn't exist, then I would get a maltese, or maybe a pekinese.

I was going to get pom but I saw yorkie and I got yorkie.

Another German Shepherd or Maltese~
 
We miss our Isabelle (Belle Belle) and our Streitzel (Street Street)...But Charlie and Henry have filled a huge void in our lives...It was 1 year ago Aug 11th we lost Belle Belle, and 1 year ago the day before Thanksgiving that we lost Street Street...We are actually thinking of another German Shepherd soon if anyone knows of breeders, please PM me...:)

Belle Belle and Street Street (RIP)...that's so touching. I hope you find a German Shepherd who will make you happy!

I have a Jack Russell who is CRAZY...and will be getting my yorkie pup in December (yay!). But if I were to get a third dog (which will not be happening soon) it would have to be a chocolate lab. My husband has always wanted one.

Don't be scared but I would get a Pit Bull Rescue. I really believe they have such a bad rep and there are so many of them that just need a good home.

A maltese, westie or a toy poodle!!! Or a Pekingese :D Actually even with a Yorkie, I still want one of each breed :p

If I didn't have yorkies, I would get another lab for sure!!!!!!!! If I got a little dog and it wasn't a yorkie, it would be a maltese.

I knew there was a reason I like you so much! :D


I would probably get whatever homely small mutt at the shelter needed me most. I would love to have another Bichon since my 20 yr old girl passed this summer. I'll find another one, one day that needs me as much as she did.. and that i need as much as I did her.

before I got Cooper, I was thinking about a Westie or a Yorkie. I had heard so many horror stories of how hard the Yorkies were to potty train...but I just loved, loved, loved the look of the yorkie, these little faces are too die for:)
So, my answer is a Westie, and I still do really like that breed alot! The white coat is the other thing that concerned me with the Westies.

chineese crested! i would actually like a yorkie crested mix but i have never heard of one and doubt it happens often. (unless it becomes the new "designer breed" :rolleyes: )

i have also ALWAYS wanted a affenpinscher and i love labs, boxers, bordercollies, and basically all dogs...and cats...and hell, i would probably even keep a pet alligator if i could! :D

Definitely a Maltese. Hopefully in the next couple of years I'll be in a house & can get one!! (I won't let myself get a second dog until I get a house)

If I didn't have a Yorkie, I wouldn't have a dog at all. I only love this breed.
