You may think this is gross, I'm ok with it, I dunno, is it overboard? So as most of you may know, I treat my babies (I don't like calling them "dogs") as my Babies and not too much bothers me, or grosses me out when it comes to them. Well, there is one thing I do with Brodie, that may gross some out! LOL I basicly let them do what they want and when it comes to our dinner time, he usually sits with me while I eat and I did this once, where I took my food and let him take it from my mouth. So now, he expects it!!! When we are eating he climbs up and licks and licks my lips hoping to get some food!!! LOL And he always gets some :) Does that gross you out? Am I way over board? |
Another gross story... I saw that someone had left us a "tootsie roll " on the carpet and hubby was on his way down and I had NO time to grab a tissue to grab it so I didn't want him to get ticked so I grabbed the poo with my BARE HANDS so hubby wouldn't see it and complain! LOL What are some of your gross stories??? |
I would say no you are not going overboard - because I do the same thing. :D Susanah sits with me at the table and eats all the time. She has her very own famous pink spoon. She also takes food out of my mouth. Nothing grosses me out with her. |

I don't even like my chi to lick me on the mouth only because I always see her cleaning all 3 of the other dogs bums. Gross. I don't mind the other three's kisses and I have held something in my teeth for the doggies to take from me. |
well no, i dont do the poo and mouth thing, but... once day bianca decided to jump in the bath when i was in there! Why i dont know. She never does that. She doesnt even like baths. Anyway, since i was in there, i just soaped her up and gave her a bath. May as well, since she was already soaked! |
I will kiss mine on the lips, but I can't do the whole sharing food thing cause I just get grossed out. I can't even use the same fork/spoon as a person lol. I can only share drinks when I'm out at a bar w/friends, but not if it's a regular drink at home. I'm weird I think LOL. |

breny , i have picked up pooh also with my bare hands.. i think we were at someones house and i saw it on the floor and grabbed it so fast so no one would notice and ran so fast to the bathroom.. lexi would not be able to visit anymore if they found this out... |
ummm I take showers with Gizmo all the time.. he loves it! ... and we eat out of the same ice cream cone...he will drink out of my iced water.. LOVES IT.. its a bed time ritual.. |
Nothing Is Gross When It Comes To Baby Mim's has eaten off my plate after I am done. I get kisses all the time I dont care cause I wash her bum. And she loves to take celery from my mouth to eat that is her treat.;) |

Honestly, it's a little gross to me. I wouldn't do either of them. I love giving and receiving kisses from them, but not feeding them through mouth. Are you talking about all the way in your mouth? I Picking up poop with bare hands... I think I might have to do it one day, but I rather not. Their stool are soft sometimes. Haha you are one strong mama. |
Kalina takes food from my mouth. I also have picked up her poo bare-handed. Neither one bothers me in the least. I don't think you're strange at all. :) |
Okay...I don't think the eating food out of your mouth is overboard, but picking up poo with your BARE HANDS!?!?!?! That I could not do...don't care if I was at the queen's palace and Kobi pooed, I would NOT be able to pick it with my hands...UCKY :eek: Sure made me laugh though!!!!!! |

I guess mine is that when i eat they are sitting right next to me and my grandma always thinks its gross lol They just sit there waiting for the food to fall or something. I also sometimes let them eat on my bed, like i will put their food bowl on my bed or on the couch for Sophie to eat cause London won't let her eat otherwise, that's the only way. |

Ok I'll confess.....sometimes its chewed up food that I'll stick out a bit for him and he will take it . I don't think anyone else would be as gentle as him and would take off my lip!!! But he know how we do it :) And kisses??? I kiss ALL my babies...cats and all straight up on the lips! LOL Shhhhhh - Hubby even does that (just not to the cats) :p Its cute...Brooklyn is a kissing nibbler. He'll nibble your lip while flodding you with kisses :p |
You ladies crack me up :yelrotflm :yelrotflm I kiss mine all the time, share ice creams, and would pick up poop barehanded if I had to! Coffee has had a "funny" tummy for a day or two and last night he had some very hard poop stuck to his butt, so I tried to wash it, just would not budge, AND he was crying so I had to take it off gently piece by piece..:eek: I DID scrub my hands very well afterwards. |
I can do all of that and it does not bother me a bit. Tinkerbell will take food from my lips very gently and only if I tell her it is okay. Sometimes she steals from my fork when I am not looking. Sneaky. The whole poo thing. Well with having the puppies they get these little dingle berries hanging from their bums so they get little butt baths almost every morning and night. They actually love it. Poo with your bare hands is really not all that bad if it is formed and not mushy. It is only for a second and you can wash your hands. Running water does wonders. |

As I set here watching Buddy lick his "boys" ....I don't think I would ever let him eat from my mouth!:eek: :eek: :eek: Don't get me wrong ....I love him more than anything but his tongue goes in some pretty nasty places (he loves lizards & frogs) and I do not want his tongue licking my tongue!!!!:p :eek: :p Nope.....not gonna happen!!! |
Murfee and I share sno cones and ice cream cone. Now I can't say that I have ever picked up poop bare handed. I usually grab a kleenex. |
Breny...you are a great mommy! Also, my Yorkies are my babies. I love them so much... :p I do share food from my mouth from Shayley and Pixie. I will share ice cream from all my babies that have not eaten poop only. :D I have picked up poop bare-handed before, yuck! but you gota do what you gotta do :eek: Oh, and getting the poop of the hair back there...And eye boogers, I always pull them with my fingers. My family thinks its nasty, I don't care. I am a germ freak with everyone else but my Yorkies. Don't ask me how..I do NOT EVER share drinks or food. I will not eat salsa or dip at a restaurant when other people at the table are "dipping", I always get my own. I do not even share with my partner or my kids??? But anything for my Yorkies, call me crazy...:D |
