is this a puppy mill? there are so many dogs and registered at different places? some of them are cute but WOW expensive!. pocket book puppies i know its just a name for smaller then normal dog but geeze tiny would have been a way to explaine the size. |
No their not a puppymill but a broker. They have been sued many times and the owners hae een gone to jail. They keep changing thier name but its the same people running it. |

How disgusting!! The pups dont look remotely happy nor do they look like a Yorkie. Ok, they look like really bad quality Yorkies. Notice that they are all Apri or Aca registered??? Major red flags!!!!!!! |
I had to see what everyone was talking about. $6,000 for a Yorkie? Are these people crazy? Don't get me wrong. I love my babies very much, but to say pocketbook dogs, and then put a price tag like that on it. Wow! Poor dogs. I guess pocketbook dogs is the new name for them, instead of tea-cup Yorkies. Too many people have figured it out that there is no such thing as a tea cup. I can't say the size ever really bothered me. Whatever size they grew to be, then that is what they are. I just joined tonight, and I have been looking at everyones pictures of their babies. They are all so cute. Ya can't help but love them. |
I have seen this website before while looking for yorkie mixed. I too agree that they are over priced. I am also concern about health issues in them since they may have to interbreed to maintain the blood line.:eek: |

5500 for a pocket book yorkie.. Talk about a puppy mil.. I'd think she was younger then her posted date.. Thats just sad I feel sorry for all those babies. |
There is no end to GREED - Our country has put such a value on catchy phrases to get more of our money and it's up to the consumer to see thru the hype - Too bad so many don't and fall for it.... that's a disgusting site is right. |

It is just another tern used to screw innocent people into thinking they have a reason to spend a fortune on a Yorkie. I can't believe the terms I have heard used to try to get more money for their puppies. |

I have seen some hefty prices, but I don't think I have seen the 6,000 one. That really shocked me. And I am really ashamed, because they are in the same state and I am in. I believe they are in South Florida, and I am in North Florida. Hopefully people can see through all their mess. (pocketbook puppies) They are still very little, probably 5-6 weeks old or smaller. Well, gotta look around this sight some more. I am so happy I found everyone. And Thank You all for Welcoming me. |
What is a Pocket Book Yorkie A term that reputable breeders use for those wee ones that are small... Most reputable breeders will not sell these wee lil ones, but place them in homes where the new owners are expierenced in handling wee ones. The reason for this is that these breeders know the possibility exists of more vet bills than usual. That doesn't mean that the wee ones will always have have medical problems.....but, why take the chance of selling heart ache. A term used by those breeders that are attempting to exploit these wee ones for more money. You will see on various breeder's web sites, that the asking price will increase the smaller the dog is (weight). The best thing to do is to make the public aware of this type of situation so, they can make an informed decision when searching for their breeder and new puppy to add to their family. |
When I was doing my "puppy search" this website came up time and time again. The whole thing just disgusts me... I look at those pictures and the puppies just don't look happy. |

Poor puppies, they don't look happy at all. In Mexico one of the phrases I keep hearing is "bolsillo" or purse puppies. Even Tea cup appears all over the place and so does 'micro,' etc. It's not just in the U.S. |
