Aww mike it's ok we have all done something like that. Don't beat yourself up over it. He is ok and all is well. We snd him lots of kisses from the crew! |
We have all done things like that at least once...Do not beat yourself up about it. Once I almost walked away from a counter at Nordstroms without Bruce who was sitting beside me in his stroller, believe me it happens to us all. |
Thanks for the sympathy. I'm not worthy. Jack told me so! |
Just seeing this now, but I am so...glad that Jack is ok. :) That could have happened to any of us. You are a real good Daddy to all 3 or your boys. I bet Jack IS the lst one out of the truck from now on. :D |
Honest mistake that could happen to any of us! Lots of hugs to Jack from us! :) |

lol just kidding. Poor Jack. I'm sure he'll be the first one out the door from now on. |
Don't beat yourself up over it, it can happen to anyone. It's so easy to get distracted, especially when you're in a hurry. We all know you're a good daddy! |
Sorry.....I could not help but just giggle when I read your post!!! I could just hear Jack yapping away at Daddy!!!!!! I am glad he was OK!!!! |

I'll bet during Jack's time in the truck, he ran out of toes to count the treats he had coming to him!! |

It was Rusty's fault. My attorney will be in touch. |
You sound really remorseful. Its good the truck was still nice and warm. I know Jack has forgiven his daddy. |
:p Well Mike, good thing you remembered! One thing dogs forgive fast! You have beautiful babies! I don't think I would ever like living in Alaska.. lol! it gets cold here in Michigan an I am tired of cold weather already. I would like to visit but not live there.. hehe Give the little one a hug and glad you remembered! |
see, even the best doggie parents can make mistakes! haha. Thank GOD you remembered he was in there. I'm glad all turned out well. :) And props to you for having the guts to admit it lol. |
WOW....I am sooooo glad that Jack was alright! You must have had an awful feeling in the pit of your stomach when you realized that you had left him in the truck. Just goes to prove, it can happen to anyone. Again, I'm very glad for both of you that things turned out the way they did.:D |

Sorry Mike, buy I also had a little giggle:yelrotflm when I read your story of Jack's abuse.:D hhhhhmmmm.....Tell me, when you dashed into the house to get on the computer:eyeballpc.... was it because you just HAD to feed your YT addiction?? You know that old familiar feeling..... when you're feeding the habit:confuse2:.... all other thoughts and priorities just fly out the window, or in this particular case, stay in the truck???:yeahthat: 29 degrees??!!! Sheesh! Ya need to get all your butts out to California. It was only 85 here today.:p Lauren |
Glad to know I'm not the only one. Our 2 cats have a way of sneaking out without us knowing and we have gone to bed before without taking a headcount. I have gotten up in the middle of the nite (cold, rainy) because something didn't feel right and lo and behold, one of them will be sitting outside the door shivering. Now I do a nightly headcount. Thank goodness dogs are such forgiving creatures. Take it from me - cats are NOT. Give Jack some extra hugs from us. |
Oh poor Jack, big hugs. I'm glad you realized before it got to be too much later. |
Ahhhh Mike...don't be so hard on yourself! We've all made mistakes and afterwards think, my gosh...what if???!!! Jack faired well through this experience and he knows you love him to pieces, although he's probably still wondering why you left him in the truck. Just kidding...had to tease you a bit! I'm so glad it turned out well and Jack is safe, warm and has a belly full of treats! |
Oh Mike! I'm so relieved to hear Jack was ok. How scary! At first I thought you were going to say Rusty put the car in drive and the truck took off! - Glad THAT didn't happen! Goes to show even the Bestest Yorkie/Lab Daddy in the world makes mistakes too! |

All's Well that Ends Well Well it sounds like Jack made out like a bandit. I'd spend an hour in a cold truck to get wrapped in a toasty warm blanky and get fed my fav treats all night. I am so very sorry you have this experience. It is so very scary. I thought it was just women who had those kinds of brain farts. |

Jack says: Calm down Dad. An hour in a "semi-warm" truck beats having to trapse through that #@$%! snow that is up to my belly. |

We all have done something....mine fell down a staircase one time (I posted about it) and I felt SO BAD but she was fine, it just scared me so much. I'm sure it scared you more than anything that really happened to him. He was a little cold but just fine. We all know you are a great dad!! |
