Be Honest is Ivy ugly?? 1 Attachment(s) I am still impatiently waiting for my new baby to arrive. The breeder has promised she will fly her in Sunday. I am planning to name her Ivy. My teenaged daughter has informed me that "everyone" thinks this is an ugly name. Be honest...Is Ivy an ugly name for this pup? |
no not at all, Ivy is a beautiful and unique name, I like it! She is absolutely beautiful....congrats! |
Who cares what other people think? If you love it then use it or else you might regret it.(personally I think Ivy is a pretty name). I love old fashioned names. I'm leaning towards naming my next girl Tallulah, not a favorite name of many people but just something about it is pretty to me. Maybe calling her Lulu for short. Anyway, Ivy is pretty and old fashioned. In the same line as Rose, Violet, Iris... |
I think it is a pretty name |
I honestly like the name!!!! and the pup!!! hahahaha! |
No, Ivy is a beautiful name for a beautiful baby!! |
i think its just fine for SUCH a cute baby girl! |
You Kidding Me!!! IVY is adorable, I love that name;) |
Hello, I think that is a cute name, my first yorkie I named Evee Queen, which is actually a reggeton singer, Ivy Queen, but they pronounce it (Eee-Vee) I think it is adorable. |
Congrats on your new little girl Ivy:) she is so adorbale and I like her name;) |
If you like it - thats the only thing that matters :) |
Grrrrrr!!!! Kids can be so mean!!!! Sounds like jealously to me!!!! Ivy is adorable!!!! |
Personally I like the name Ivy ... but daughters do have a way of being so darn honest sometimes. |
I like it...maybe tack on a middle name too to make it sound more formal...LOL...like Ivy Lee, or Ivy Mae. |
Personally I like the name. Good thing it's not your daughter's dog then huh? ;) Congrats. :animal36 |
I love Ivy. It reminds me of something pure and fresh. |
After dicussing this with Diggy and Bella they both told me to tell u they BOTH like the name and think it is unique and pretty. :p |
No, Ivy is not an ugly name! ask your daughter what she would name her and maybe use that as a middle name. |
I think Ivy is a gorgeous and unique name! Who cares what anyone else thinks!!! |
No it's not ugly! I think it's cute! :) I wouldn't worry about what other people think - she is YOUR baby :) And ya know, if you ask them for a name suggestion, they just might give you a name that YOU think is ugly - so there ya go :D To each their own! ;) |

it is totally up to you!! Doesn't matter what anyone else says, if it is your furbaby.....Personally I don't care for it, but my opinion shouldn't make you change what you like!!!! Let us know what you choose, she is absolutely adorable no matter what her name turns out to be!!!!! |
I've known a lady named Ivy, and a guy named Ivy(short for Ivan), it's not an ugly name..but, sometimes we name them, and then when they get to you, you pick out a completely different name..Heck, I waited 2 days I think, to name ginger..I liked her original name of Juliet, but, my hubby said, I think it should be Ginger, so, Ginger it was..although I do call her gin, quite a lot..:) |
I love the name Ivy and your puppy is darling!! :) |
I love Ivy, it's different! I agree with others, who cares what others think. As long as you like it you should use it. When I named Bella I'd never heard it used as a dogs name before and then I came to this web site and boy there seems to be a lot of Bella's. But thats ok, I love the name!:D |
