Wow! That is pretty unbelievable...I would say that this person is clearly unbalanced in some way...So take it with a grain of salt, we all know yorkies tend to be of the genius variety! Really what gets me is what people feel comfortable doing and saying...(1) this woman was interjecting herself into a conversation she was not involved in and (2) she was making rude and completly unwarranted comments that she new would be hurtful. Really sometimes people really need to know how to be rationale or when the cannot be to keep things to themselves...I for example to do not personally care all that much for poodles, but clearly I love pets (which presumably this person does), so if someone was talking about their poodle I would think "wow that is great they love their poodle, I am glad I have my yorkie since a poodle is not the dog for me." I would never say "god a whole breed I have little experience with is stupid and should die." It is like how we pick our spouses or girlfriends different things attractive different people. Just because one person does not like something does not mean it isn't worth loving, Geez!!! |
I'm just glad that it wasn't me she said that to. I try to let things roll off my back because people can be so cruel and vicious. But the one thing that sets me off is someone saying something bad about my family. My husband say that it's like a little light switch gets turned and I go into royal B mode. Since my boys are my family, let's just say that she would feel about two inches tall by the time I was finished saying my piece. I think I would have joined her training class on purpose just so I could put on my best fake smile and ruin her day time after time. I know this probably makes me sound like the meanest person ever, I'm really not. The only thing I don't stand for is having someone saying things about my family. I'm sorry she was so cruel to you. Just remember, unattractivness can be fixed, but having an ugly heart is forever.;) |
I'm sorry you experienced that with that stupid person. I know I would have been asked to leave or not been able to register my furbaby because I certainly would have responded in a way "she" would not likely forget. |
Don't pay attention to her, unlike yorkies who can claim champions in thier blood lines she may very well only be able to claim a trailer park skank and 1 of 8 possibile fathers from the sound of it. If you think of it that way she can't help but be jelous.:D Her breeding was truly showing that day. |
Yes, she still has all her teeth but I was really thinking about knock them out. As for the dog she has a pug. |

I wouldn't waste my tears on someone like that. She's obviously imbalanced or just a mean and nasty person to say something so hateful. |
Unbelievable that someone could say something so awful to you! She's obviously miserable and just looks for a chance to ruin someone else's day. I cannot understand how people can be so hateful and I'm sorry you had to run into her. There's no excuse for that kind of behavior. |
How childish and rude! Ignore people like that, they're not worth your time. |
It sounds like she was just trying to start an argument. You would be suprised the lengths people go for attention. What would of made her more mad is if you just completely ignored her. Sometimes that hurts worse. ;) |
They say hind sight is always 20/20, so we all have quick replies to come back with now that we have time to think of them. I can't imagine how shocked and hurt you were. I'm afraid by the time I got to the end of the line my mouth would have taken over my brain, and that dummy would be three inches shorter. I would have asked her if she was confusing yorkies with someother type of dog, as Yorkies are clearly one of the smartest and most loved dogs on the planet. Of course they are cost prohibitive to many, so her ignorance ,which is also not stupidity, can be easily understood. I would smile at her so sweetly, and gently shake my head as if I was very sorry for her.:) Hang in there Sweetie, she is a customer of the same shop you use, and you might run into her again. |
First off, I'm so sorry you got your feelings hurt like that:( That was an incredibly heartless, cruel thing to say to anyone about any animal. I'm glad you put your baby in a class she wouldn't be attending:D |
Cathi, I know you just got Salvador the other day, and he's 5 weeks old, I'm in S.C. too, and I know that they won't let you put the puppies in puppy class until they're done with their shots..how can you be registering him for puppy classes without puppy shots? I asked the other day, and they said not until their shots are done.. |
I remember seeing a study once that ranked dog breeds based on several different measures of intelligence. Yorkies scored quite a bit above the median-- 27th out of 79 breeds that they ranked-- including outscoring several "working" dog breeds that are usually considered very bright and trainable. That woman has no clue what she is talking about. |
