No he is not? It does not offend me at all, but every time I take Rockie to the mall, petmart or anywhere. People are always mistaking him for a girl:p I start putting blue goody crunchies in his hair. I always laugh and say no he is a boy. They say he is just so cute:animal36 Does anyone else get that:D |
ALL THE TIME! It kinda gets on my nerves sometimes depending on my mood. I have two boys and I'm constantly hearing "she" "she" "she" Yorkies can be boys too!!! |
Yeah I get that with Jake, even though I never have any bows or anything in his hair. He's just tiny and his hair is longer, so they assume he's a girl. Jackson, however, is big so everyone assumes he's a boy lol |
I have actually had many always saying SHE SHE SHE... I am like no HE, Parker! lol... I have too had people ask if he was a CAT... now that was irritating! |
Rockies hair is longer around his face. I'm thinking that has a lot to do with people thinking the little furbabies are girls. Oh well they are cute:D :D |

everyone thinks parker (my biewer) is a shih tzu |
Oh one time I was walking Chip through PetSmart and this little girl asked her dad what kind of dog Chip was and he said "he looks like a yorkie, but he's too small to be a yorkie" WTH?! Chip is 8 lbs!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me?! |

Thank you, I am giggling, and Parker got a kiss...as I cannot seem to give him enough. :D |
No of course not, he looks like the beautiful "yorkie" that he is. People are so oh well I think I really do not need to say what I was going to say. He is really beautiful. A lot of people do not know what a yorkie is:rolleyes: |

I've been taking care of my parents yorkie, Rylie, for over a month. People call him a girl a lot when I take them out, especially if I have a bow in his hair. On the other side, I've had Lacy out in a pink dress and bow and some people still ask if she's a girl  |
A cat? Too little to be a yorkie? - lol - I'm truly laughing here. But yes, we have to take our babies out to educate the rest of the world! Everyone assumes Bubba is a girl - he always has his hair pulled back - sometimes with a bow & sometimes just a band. He's all boy though - long hair & all. The other thing I am asked repeatedly is how old are they? People assume because they are so small they must be puppies. |
I once had someone mistake tinks for a monkey!!!! Have you ever heard anything like it. |

2 Attachment(s) Mines the opposite, people usually assumes Jazzie (9 pounds) is a boy! I usually don't dress her or even put a bow in her hair but she does have a full coat and looks 100% girly to me but .... Does she look like a boy? Well if she does, I don't care!:D :D :D |

I think people, Yorkie owners being the exception, associate anything small with female. Eddie and Jack get it all the time. |
We get that all the time. I've had people ask me Gus' name and after I tell them they tell me how cute she is. lol |

She wasn't in a tree, was she? |

1 Attachment(s) This was Muffy the Day we went to the Bike Rally in Galveston a few weeks ago. So can anyone tell me where they got boy from??? Pink on a boy??? I dont get it. I think they just dont know what to say, so they just say the first thing that pops in there head. |
i get "she" and "her" all the time too for dexter. i think the funniest was one time in the park, an elderly woman came up to me after staring for a while and told me she was watching dexter run around and thought he was a squirrel running around the park...he was wearing a red sweater! she said she thought maybe the squirrel was cold! lol |
oy, people are just crazy sometimes!! lol i always hear "he"...amazing since belle looks super girly to me... i guess bc i'm her mommy... lol... but she always wears a bow when we go out and all her clothes are pink!! |
People think Slades a girl even if he doesn't have bows in! But whats funny is even if my bully has on pink, people think shes a boy! |
Oh and I was thinking only I had the problem. So glad there are people out there to share with. Pao is a girl everywhere we go to. Everyone thinks he is a girl for some reason. He is not even a small Yorkie, he is a nice 10 pounder and he never wear pink. When we were out walking, a big sized man told his kid my boy is a cat too  Weird people who cannot differentiate between a cat and a dog. |
You know all that quit for me when I bought Mia. Now people can some how tell one is a boy and one is a girl. I will say the one thing I hear all the time now is "oh are they still puppies?" Hee, hee.....I have to tell people no they are full grown - just small LOL!! :p |
Yeah I get that all the time too. Cody James gets mistaken for a girl even with boy colors on. HELLO PEOPLE WAKE UP! LOL I always want to put them up in their face and say SEE HE'S A BOY! LOL :D |
I hve a girl and I will even have her in a dress and people will call her a boy. Now she is finally letting me put bows in her hair so maybe they can tell she is a girl |
