clothes All 7 of mine love their clothes...i don't dress them up daily...but they all sit still and i can put them on and they are fine...none of them try to get them off at all...i also put them on their babies to get them use to them before they go to new homes....bows are never a problem either...one thing i haven't tried yet are the shoes....not sure what mine would do...i see alot of pics with them on...i think mine might freak a little...but if mommie makes them wear them...they will for a minute...lol |
3 Attachment(s) Slade will fight me when I'm putting o his clothes, but once they're on he likes them and doesn't mess with them. Its the same thing with bows. Mom's yorkie mix Schatize LOVES clothes. If she sees us with any of her clothes in our hands, she comes runnng for us to put them on her. My pit bull LOVES her clothes, but I dn't have much for her, just a couple polos and a cheerleading outfit. |

Lacy wears clothes every day. Of course I buy the outfits more for me than her...I just love them. She has a lot of clothes. I think wearing clothing is just so normal to hear because she always has clothes on. She's just her normal self in bows and clothing and is a happy girl. I think she likes being dressed. Now my parent's yorkie, he hates clothes. |
Both of my yorkies love their clothes they sit still while I put them on and Emma my 11 month old doesn't even mind bows, now Tia on the other hand takes them out as soon as I put them in most of the time:rolleyes: . Now my Schnauzer goes nuts over clothes if you ask her if she wants to put one on or show one to her she starts dancing around and barking once we put it on her she just prances around it is the cutest thing ever :p |
Dressing the furkids is totally all about me. It makes me happy to see them in their cute outfits! But functionally, there is a place for coats/rain gear/ect when you own a small breed like this. I see most dog owners w/at least a winter and rain jacket for their small dogs regardless if they dress them any other time. I think the key to getting a dog to like wearing clothes (or tolerate it), is to make sure the clothes are comfy number one, and number two start when they are young for small periods of time. Give lots of treats while you are dressing them and while the outfit is on :) |
Thanks Breny. If you can't tell from the pic, she is just a wee bit spoiled, lol. |
4 Attachment(s) Mocha doesn't mind wearing clothes. He doesn't get super excited when he sees me grabbing his shirt or jacket, but he also doesn't hate them or try to get them off (as long as they aren't too huge on him). It's very easy to dress and undress him most of the time. The only time he'll put up a fight is if I put them on while he has a burst of energy and just wants to play. Oh, he also didn't like his halloween costume....I think he felt silly in it :p |

I don't have many clothes for Snickers or Joy. Just little shirts and some sweater to keep them warm in the cold. Neither seem to mind the clothes on themselves; however, for some reason Joy just hates seeing Snickers with clothes, bandannas, hats, anything. She will chase him around til she pins him down and keeps pulling on them trying to get them off. I don't know how to stop her doing this. I ususally end up taking off whatever Snickers has on so Joy won't hurt him. He's 3 lbs, she is 5 lbs. Maybe she's just a little hussy and likes him naked!! Don't know, but sure is a bummer 'cause I think the clothes are cute. |
Thanks :) I love it because the hoodie keeps him nice and warm. I just wish it had sleeves though. With the cold weather we're having right now, he's going to need some full snow suits soon  Quote:
