OMG so many. I just love it.. I am hoping to find one .. I realize that the standard calls for other but I really like the ones that stay really dark in the face with even some darker browns or black. Just. Dont get me wrong I love my ritzy too Just thought if I were getting a new baby I would like a dark one, OOh decisions decisions. Now for the search./ Oh and yeah about a male female I just thought 2 boys would go good too :-) Bonnie |
1 Attachment(s) My little Gracie is a lot darker than Lillie ever was when I got her. Gracie's hair is also very thick and when we got her it was a bit curly. I could not believe it - since Lillie has such straight thin hair. Here is a picture of Gracie now at 4.5 months old. I cannot wait to see what she looks like as she gets older - I am hoping she stays a little darker too. |

My Marty is VERY dark! You can click on the "pictures" link in my signature to see LOTS of pics, both when he was a puppy and more recently. |

That's not the case here either. In fact, one of Max's sisters is blonder than he is and her coat is the wooly one and sort of thin too. My girlfriend, who adores Max's sister, always remarks how much nicer Max's coat is than his sissie's. Here's Max: |

Actually, thats not true. The standard calls for a yorkie to be a dark steel blue (not black and not silver) and tan. Gold is a lighter color..tan is the darker color. So Yorkies should stay pretty dark according to the standard...just shouldn't stay Black..but become a dark blue |
2 Attachment(s) Here is Dexter! He is on the darker side... he is a cottony coat too so hes staying dark, there is no silver at all on him, just tan legs & butt and dark everywhere else pretty much! :D Hes such a cutie!! |

I love comparing yorkie pics so this is great for me. I noticed that most (not all) of the darker ones on here shine orange wonder if there is anything to that they are all cuties by the way |
Tia's avatar shows how dark she is....her head is almost all grey, and they only tan points on her face are around her nose. According to the colouring chart, she might have a blonde head when she's done with being a chameleon! |

alot of light yorkies There really are a lot of light yorkies. I have only ever had or sold the dark ones. I have only been helping my friend sell for a year and I have only had Chloe a year and 1/2 but all mine are dark. I love the light! Wish I had one of each...lol |

The girlies are both dark at 7.5 and 4 years;) I love them dark, which is unusual here, but Casper's coat is unusually silvery white for over here in Scotland where most are medium silver and tan, and after seeing Dexter on this thread I think he will look nice when his coat is long again.....like an old man ! Casper at 2 years(he is darker here but you can also see his pink stripe !) Casper at 5yrs - will be even more silvery white as his coat grows back in - it's really short here.
