Pee pads were a blessing to Sophie. She was trained on paper and as she became older, placed large flat incontinence pad in a oil drip pan while I was at work. Also, I could take her traveling and she would use the pee pad or newspaper, if necessary. Back up plans are an excellent alternative to carpet or flooring. I don't think Charlie was trained to paper and walk him twice a day plus place a belly band on him while I am at work. |
I have never used pee pads. Buddy was trained to go outdoors and he just love his walks. I work full time and he holds it with no problem for 9hrs. When I get home I have to catch him to get his harness on, he's still in no hurry to go right out. He has a bladder like iron I guess. We sleep in on weekends and he has no problem with that either. What ever works for you is what you do. |
Wow, Buddy sounds like a dream!! I'm so jealous! lol Quote:

I was planning to have the pee pads out all year long, but hoping that he wouldn't use them in the spring/summer unless he absolutely has to. I'm probably asking too much lol. That's a great idea with the treat suggestion, I'll definately give it a try! Quote:
