As a rule, you're right about that. HOWEVER, I have a friend who lives in Alabama and she had a litter last year and ended up selling her puppies for around $300-400, mainly b/c they were almost 12 weeks old and she didn't have time to take care of so many dogs (long story, but she and her dh were in Hurricane Katrina which is how they ended up in Alabama and he was driving all over looking for a job, so they were relatively unsettled for awhile). That was the price of them and she wouldn't ship though.....but just for the record; sometimes you will find them for that amount (and they're still healthy and good dogs):) . |
I think she sounds like a scam artist too, but truthfully, after all you went thru, I'd just be thankful that I actually got a dog out of the whole fiasco! I was afraid while I was reading the story that she just took your money and ran! It's so weird that there's so many toxic people who seem to do everything in their power to screw up their lives and everyone else's that they touch; when if they just did the right thing, it would be SO MUCH less complicated and unpleasant! |
Wowzers..Id say you were VERY lucky to even get a puppy from this lady...you must have more trust in people than I do lol...I woudnt send a perfect stranger money...at least not that much money...I am sooooooooo glad that you got your puppy!! Hopefully this woman can be shut down..at least you have her information and maybe you can take it to the police to have her checked out..sounds like she has scammed one too many people.. Dawn |

I'm not sure what was done in the past it was just so long ago I'm not going to be wrongful accused either, I do know that I am not trying to lie to you or mis lead you why do you think I stay in contact with you trying to get this matter resolved some how. I dont know what to tell you but I feel what ever I tell you , its possible you might not take me serious. People change, people realize that life is not simple but hard and you must pray to get threw daily problems with that said what I said about not breeding I dont do anymore. I gave up that life style to be a better person. With that said I'm asking how can we work this out. thank you |
Well, if she's turned over a new leaf - maybe you can see if you get that picture she says she's willing to take. But you or someone from yt or someone you trust needs to take it! I would press her - if she's trying to be a better person, then she can cleanse her soul by fessing up about what she has done to you & others. And admitting to where your pup came from. I hate to be taken by someone, but I hear some sincerity in her words. Do you hear that? Is that why you are wondering what to do next?? |

my thoughts At first I though...ok... you got ripped off... then I read on... and I thought ok... this lady is a little senile or is just not making herself understood well... because the original 300 was cheap... not many would need payment plans for puppies if the shipping and dog were under 3. And I thought even the "he" was probably her husband... she was old... doesn't work the camera or computer...something like that... maybe a son. Then after the mixup w/ papers and this litter and that one .... she is definately a puppy mill. Can you track her through the airport paperwork? Do they keep records of EXACTLY who delivered her.... w/ all the security now a days... I would think that would be a good place to start. |
