				   | Does anyone carry pepper spray when walking thier babies? Anyone ever had a need to use it? Just curious as I am looking into buying some so we can walk and feel safe from other dogs and unsavery people as well. You will think I am nut but I don't trust anyone I don't know when it comes to our safety. My hubby and 2 of my children were out of town one weekend leaving my 9 year old daughter and 3 year old son. We decided to go to a park about a block and a half from our house. It's behind a church and we live in a small, quiet town. We are new here though and disn't know much about the area. I took my purse and probably shouldn't have. The park is behind a house and big bushes and the church so it is very secluded from the road. Well we were the only ones there when this car pulled in with some not so friendly looking guys (3 of them) they pulled through very slowly watching us the whole time. By this time I decided it was time to gather my children and make for the openess of the roadway. Oh, we had Teddy with us too. Of course when I said lets go my 3 year old ran the other way. By now the men had thier doors open. I grabbed my purse, the kids and Teddy and walked so fast toward the road. I don't know what they were thinking...stealing my purse, my dog or hurting us but I didn't want to stick around to find out and we havn't walked or visited the park since. Oh sorry, that was long and in circles! LOL

				   | I always have it in my purse or bra when jogging. It is safer than a knife (which is also illegal) and if taken away from you and used aginst you not lethal. You can use it from some distance away so your attacker dosen't have a chance to get too close. There are a few different kinds but you will want to make sure that you dont get a cheap one that can spray when you dont want it to, like in the bottom of a really nice purse. My dad ( the saftey freak) buys grizzly mace for me to carry. I think its a little overboard myself, but I think thats just because I've never had to use it. Hope this helps, better safe than sorry! |

				   | Yep! I carry it! Walking back from my library on campus made me want to get it.. I do have one suggestion..when you get it, test it to make sure you know how to use it..but don't do it when it's windy out..that's NOT fun!

				   | I carry it in my purse. My husband got it for at a handgun permit class. Supposed to be pretty lethal. I was told it has a blue dye that doesn't come off easily and that an attacker would have to go to the ER if I sprayed them. So they would be caught as well, hopefully. I sure hope I never have to use it.

				   | I either bring my pepper spray or my gun depending on where I'll be and who will be with me. It it's dark and an I'm walking alone I carry my gun. I'm sorry if I sound silly be I'm really afraid when I see what goes on around here.

				   | I also carry pepper spray...I have fortunately never had to use it but you can never be too safe/careful, especially when it comes to yourself and your "family". The kind I carry can be attached to my keychain and has 10 sprays that can go 10 feet each...

				   | I have carried it for years since I work in downtown Cleveland at night. I carry it with me whenever I'm out alone or walking with my babies. I am very fortunate that I've never had to use it.

				   | I don't carry it, instead I take my 250lb husband who also carries his gun 24. I doubt ANYONE will ever miss with us. LOL. ~HE carries his weapon because he is a police officer, and is way protective of our family after seeing the horrors he has.~ |
