Oh no, hubby's gonna kill me! Just talked to a lady that has a little female almost 3 yrs. old she is trying to rehome. Says she just "doesn't have time for her". She's had her for almost 2 months. She said DeeDee is 2 - 3 lbs, and her son is checking with someone he knows that has kennels (puppy mills??) to see if they want her to breed! I asked the lady to please not sell her to them, she's way too small to breed. She agreed, but I'm sure she's going to take the first $600 someone hands her! Anyway, I would love to have her, but I've got 5 babies already, and hubby is gonna freak! Also, my smallest of my 5 is 6-7 lbs and my teapot girl weighed in at 12 lbs just this morning! How do you all think that would go over? I really need some tips on this, on the babies as well as hubby! Help me please!:) :animal36 :animal36 |
Try to appeal to his philanthropic side. Tell him you are not getting her because you want another, but are trying to save her from a life of the puppymill (which is true).:( Explain how she is too small to breed and that it might kill her to give birth. If you already have 5 furbabies, your husband ovbiously has a soft spot in his heart. You just have to know how to stroke that soft spot. I hope he gives in and lets you rehome poor Dee Dee. Keep me posted! Good luck!:) |
awwwwwwwwww I hope she doesnt go to a breeder! If you can afford to save her, it would be a really good deed! .... you could just go get her then act like she has been apart of the pack since the beginning of time. Men dont pay that close of attention do they? lol |

I keep adding to my furbutt family too, believe me they get over it!!:D |
Wow!! How do you handle, umm is it 8?! Where do they all sleep? Do you work or a stay at home mom? Please give me some pointers! |
Get her anyway before she goes to a kennel or something!!!!! I bet someone on YT (or another responsible person) would buy her from you if you couldn't keep her. |

No, it's great, the more the merrier! We pretty much have the same routine everyday. It does take me two days to complete bath day. I stay home with them, I have my own jewelry business. I also have 6 puppies right now. I stay busy. sorry OP:teethysmi |
It's ok, I am the OP.:p How do you think my 5 I have now would take to a new one, an adult one at that? and sooo much smaller than them? That's the part that scares me! |
Tell him you need to save her and you will try really really hard to find her a home and get your money back...... ....too bad nobody will want her. by then she'll fit right in and he'll never know or he'd miss her. :p |

I think you should really explain all the horrible things that might happen to her. Why doesn't the lady have her spayed first? She have a lot more luck finding a loving home that way. |
I think she may really be strapped for money, just from talking to her. She mentioned her daughter that has a newborn that is really sick. I'm gonna work on DH tonight. Like someone else said, maybe I can find her a good home if he absolutely refuses to let me have her. |
I would say definitely go get her, then if you can't keep her you can always find her a good home. I'm sure there are probably several people on here that would love to adopt her. |
I have a tiny one and a bigger one. dakota is 3 lbs and Aubrey is 14lbs and they play along just fine. Talking hubby into it will be the hardest thing!!!! |
I think you've already made up your mind ;) :p And thats a good thing!!!!!!!!!!! I say go for it. I have a teapot too....15 lbs and a even fatter pug! The little ones know to stay away :) It will take a little while for them to accept her, but don't be discouraged. They WILL end up getting along :) Just takes some time. Plus, how much more work can only ONE more make???? GO FOR IT!!!! I got my hubby Zoey (our Chi) for Valentines day :p :p :p How could he say no???????? |
I had a 12 lb pom and 5 lb yorkie when I brought 3 lb Pixie home and she was 13 months old. They all worked it out!! Please try and get her before some one who wants to breeder does. Did she say why at 3 she wasn't spayed yet? |
sorry double post |

Well Hubby didnt want mine.............now I cant hardly get any cuddlle time with her ..........Hes my advise sprinkle some white bably powder on her and call her a biewer :D :luvu: :luvu: :yelrotflm ....then she will melt his heart and you will have to book appointments just to see her hehh heh lol:) Good luck with your new little one! |
West central, about 20 miles from Texas line. Are you familiar with Louisiana? Once I posted, and someone thought my LA was Los Angeles.:D |
Just add her to the pack and maybe he won't notice another for awhile. Then just say she's been there all along can't he count? hehehe |
Just tell him you're going to get her to rehome her with someone that won't breed her..maybe he'll get attached and just say Keep her! :) |

Very little, but my hubby is from New Orleans, and his family lives in Luling now. Sooooo did you get her yet? Huh? Huh? Did ya? Did ya? :p Sorry, I relapsed and acted like my 4year old! haha. |
Since she is 3 years old, has she been bred before? I would be asking everyone I know if they would buy her. How horrible that she could go to a puppy mill. |

I am really trying to not get my hopes up; I'm afraid hubby is going to say NO! I'm about to leave, so I'll continue the saga tomorrow. Wish me luck!;) |
