Maya did WHAT??!?! My husband has tried to convince me several times that Maya does certain "naughty" things just to spite us when she's mad. I never believed him and found some way to equate the behavior with something I didn't do correctly. I left the house early this morning to teach class, and Maya usually gets to walk downstairs and out to the car to say goodbye. My husband didn't want her to go today, so when she tried to escape, she was put back into the house and told "Daddy will be right back. Be a good girl!" She had already gone #1 and #2 when I let her out and gotten to go with my husband in the car to Starbucks, so I wasn't worried about leaving her alone for 2 minutes unil my husband got back upstairs. When I got to school, I got a message on my cell phone from my husband. He was SO mad! He proceeded to tell me that this time he knew for sure that Maya was purposely being naughty because she was mad. Evidently, when my husband got back upstairs from walking me to my car, he discovered that Maya had pooped right in the middle of the floor and was sitting next to it "scowling." Has anyone else's dog done something like this? Naughty bear... |
Aww little naughty girl she is! Teddy will poop in the bathroom sometimes:rolleyes: |
Hallie has been known to look me right in the eye, squat and pee. Usually after I tell her no or after she has been in a time out  |
Murfee has never pooped because he was mad but he certainly lets us know it. He pouts big time. |
Rockie potty near the toilet instead of his wee wee pad when I am at work and my daughters at school. I know he gets mad when we are not there to show him attention. |
Oh yea, Duffy lets me know when he is not happy by peeing right where I'll step in it or on the bathroom rug. Usually if I have to leave him home and I am gone a few hours. He has a doggy door and always uses it except when he is pouting. And it is definatly a pout or angry thing because he only does it if I leave him and if I point to the mess he looks at it then looks at me then looks away from me like oh well, that's what you get for leaving me. |
Zippy will do that if he needs to go out and you don't take him. He will walk into the middle of the room, look at you, and do his business.:thumbdown |

Zoey bites the foot of whoever lets her out of her crate. She is mad for being in there, and just bites whoever lets her out! |
Penny is quite spiteful. When she's mad, she will make a mess in not one but multiple spots. She makes sure to space them out all over the room. One piece here, two here, another one here, etc. |
Tilly poops when she is mad. The other day she was mad when I left to groom a dog. She wasn't left alone. My mom always stays to watch my son and Tilly for me. I guess she got mad and pooped down the hallway and in our living room. My mom called me to tell me what Tilly did and once I got home Tilly gave me a dirty look like, it was your fault for leaving. She is so sassy! :p |
Yup. Tobi definately does "revenge pee/poop". He knows EXACTLY what he's doing..and he doesn't try to hide it either! What little terrors! haha :p |
Mine don't poop...but they sure do funny things. Maddie is usually very well-behaved, but sometimes she gets a little mean streak. She doesn't like being left behind either, even for a second. And the WORST is when you push her back in the door. She waits until you return, and then she proceeds to run at full speed to her basket of toys and drag out EVERY SINGLE ONE. Then she takes each one in her mouth and starts growling and shaking it around aggresively. Then she throws it. She has to go through every toy before her tantrum is over! Sophie is just a little brat...pretty much all the time...lol. She hides our things (Brandon's glasses, my homework, pens, tv changer, socks, etc.) in her bed, she barks and bites the couch if you don't let her on it when you sit down, she runs from you when she knows it's time to go in her crate before we leave, etc. etc. etc. Occasionally she'll do something really mean that warrants a "NO" and loud clap. Then she rolls over onto her back and pretends to be loving and nice, like she's saying "sorry," but then when you turn your back she finds the nearest cord or table leg and starts to widdle away. When you catch her she gives you a mean look and runs off...then she won't come to you for at least a half hour. Mine are bad... lol |
Oh what stinkers (literally)! Bella does not have that much freedom to know if she is a spiteful pooper.. i'm certain she is capable of it though. Reminds me of when we went on vacation years ago and the cat we had at the time (she was being taken care of my someone who lived in the same house) pooped right smack dab in the middle of my pillow! |
Maya was just leaving him a present. Was it his Birthday or something? |
We used to call it a "grudge poop" when Zoey would go under the table while we were gone. She only did it when left alone. |

Thanks everyone for the great stories... glad to hear that I'm not the only one with a naughty puppy! She so well behaved the rest of the time... I just couldn't believe she'd be so naughty on purpose! Omega - you're probably right! I have spoiled her... she's almost always with me unless I'm at work. Bad mama!! She was doing so well with her potty training, but despite the naughty spite pooping, she's been having lots of accidents lately. So, anyone have any ideas on how to love my baby lots and lots without spoiling her rotten? |
Bruce when seriously angry will pee on one particular wall in the house right on the corner!!! Then he goes and pouts...Things that make him angry include leaving him alone for more than 1 hour, moving the location of his food, etc...He is not easy to please. |
Our sweet little Maya would NEVER do something like that   it was daddy's fault!!!! :D :D |
Belle grew out of that... she used to chew anything i forgot to put away and poop in my room and put pieces everywhere... but now she gets to run around the house while i'm at school, and even when she stays in my room, she's good :) i'm so proud of her... she relapsed two days ago she pooped under the living room table... bc i had to go to the grocery store and couldn't take her-- and was defiant about it when i got back...lol... then seh didnt get run of the house yesterday, so she hasn't done it again... yay yorkie!!:aimeeyork |
I just experienced the infamous pooping for the past few weeks. Pao is perfectly trained for the past year and he either poops outside or in his box. Problem came when I bring him out 3-4 times a day during summer for walks and shopping etc etc. Then, the weather turns colder and colder and I got a bad cold for the last 3 weeks and eventough I never deprive him from at least one walk a day, it is not enough for him. Come night time, he gets mad if I don't bring him out and poops right in the middle of the stairs and usually he makes sure no one sees it. My MIL actually kicked on a poop thinking it was his bullystick because it sure looks like one! He doesn't do it anymore now since the routine of only walking once a day kicked in to his little brain. Thank God! |

I had a dog that wanted to be walked like 2 miles every day and if I ever cut his walk short, even if he already pooped and peed, he would come inside, look right at me and poop.( I dunno where all the poop came form. He had a poop reserve or something) I have a friend that says dogs will not poop for spite, but I dunno... |

I think you just have to keep up the discipline while you shower her with love. :) Don't let her get away with anything that you don't want to live with for the next 10+ years. :D |
Bella peed on the couch once. Brand new couch. We all left at the same time when we came home she peed when she heard us open the door so I could find a fresh puddle. Lucky for us it was suede and did not have time to sink into cushion!! |
so, this just happened to me lately (or at least to my bf lately since i was out of state for a business trip) we normally take Chloe out for #1 when we get up, then we will get ready and such. Chloe normally doesn't go and do her #2 business until we leave the house. So, that day....my bf took her out for potty when he got up. She didn't want to do her #2 business yet, so they went back into the house and my bf went to take a shower. After he got out from shower, he noticed Chloe was inside her crate (first hint: she didn something bad!) so, he walked around the house and didn't see anything...until he walked inside to our bedroom....he saw 5 pieces of poops on our bed (King, Select Number!! arghh and it was without a bedsheet...bcoz she threw it on my bed a few nights ago!) Thanks God her poops were pretty dry! But my poor bed.... Also, she normally is really good and pretty much house trained! Not sure what happened that morning... |
I'm usually here all the time so mine don't get into to much trouble, but when I get home I get a verbal thrashing for leaving. LOL |
