I think you are very quick in your reaction and am so glad your baby is ok. Aren't those the treats that are made in China that caused some problems? Anyway, we don't always know what is not good for them unless we either read about it or experience it. I'm so sorry you had to experience this and your baby was so traumatized. Warm hugs to you and your baby. |
how scarey im so glad shes ok |
How scary! Thats awful, poor Kalina and poor you, I am SO please that she is ok and well done you for saving her life! I had something very similar happen to a dog of mine years ago with a piece of rawhide chew, since then I stay away from all of these 'chew' type commercial treats. ((((HUGS)))) |
OMG please kiss Kalina for me and give her a lil extra hug from Diggy and Bella.....you poor things.....thank GOD for the gardener.....wow |
Thank heavens you had the presence of mind to do what you did! I know exactly how you felt...I once had a toy poodle that choked on something and fell on her side too...not moving!! I thought she had died!!! I stuck my finger in her throat and pushed the food down (Ididn't know what else to do!) and she came around and was fine after that. BUT I WAS NOT!! It is so scary! I'm so happy that she is okay! |
OMG!!!! My heart is raising just thinking about what you were going through!! I am so thankful she is OK. Poor baby!!! Thanks for sharing!!!! I will never buy those treats!!!! |

I am so glad she is okay! Thank you for posting the warning :( |
What a scary thing to happen. Needless to say your awareness of Kalina and your quick thinking saved her life. Way to go, Mom! Thank you for the head's up. I genuinly appreciate it. We all need reminders NOT to feed our little furkids treats that are small and round. They just lend themselves to get stuck! I figure that you probably won't try these treats again, but they would probably work fine if you could cut them in fourths I am so very happy that Kalinais ok and that you are recovering :ghug: |
Wow, you are amazing. I'm sorry it happened in the first place, but you did a great job. And you are a great story-teller as well - I'm speechless and my breath was taken away! I'll make sure to watch out for that treat in the future as well. |

I actually know someone that this happened to with her Maltese. :( |
OMG, I think I would have just cried and cried not knowing what to do . . . that must have been quite a nightmare for you both    poor baby . . . It sure scared the hell out of her so that is probably why she wasn't her usual self. My babies sends warm kisses to little Kalina :aimeeyork |
What a nightmare. A choking baby AND while you were driving. You did a great job. So glad she is OK. Thanks for the warning. |
aaahhh big hugs honey!!! I would have been a wreck. My boss just got a 3 month old Australian Sheppard, cute. I gave her one of those and I turned around and she was choking!! Before I could get there she urped it out. My heart was in my throat. Next time she got one I made sure they had broken the pieces up for her into about 5 bite size ones. (being my boss' dog I didn't have the right to chunk the treats but I did make sure she knows to break them up). Big hug again. |
What a scare you had! I am glad your baby girl is better, I hope you can get in touch with the company at least through a web site maybe? |
