Oh Dina my heart goes out to you . . .I do hope she will be okay . . . thank goodness the tests was done early enough :(

Iam so sorry, You are both in my prayers, im so glad your vet did the pretesting, praying something can be done for her, hugs to you both

Thank you sooooooooo much everyone for all your prayers and trying to make me feel better. I'm crossing my fingers that the test results come back tomorrow. I keep looking at her and thinking there is no way your sick. :( She' so darn rotten and running around here like a little mad woman. :p I forgot to tell what happened when I picked her back up today. When I dropped her off this morning I left them keep her little napsack that she loves and her favorite little duckie toy. When I went to pick her back up the doctor came walking out with Paisley in her napsack and she was burried way down in. However, she did have her little face peaking out and her duck in her mouth, hehehe. :D I thought she looked so funny and when she saw me she dropped the duck and must have thought the doctor took it from her and jumped up and nipped the doctor's nose. :cool: She did it in a playful way and then licked her but it was too funny and my doctor was cracking up. This is the second time Paisley went for her nose. :) Anyways, I just had to share that and I'll be sure to let everyone know the results as soon as I do. Thanks again for all the prayers.

We will be praying for her, Me and my blessed yorkies. I know in humans vitamin K helps with clotting factors and babies have to get it in the first couple of hours of birth because we are not born with it ... maybe it could something so easy as just give her Vit K . ... Good luck . You take care Paisley.

i'm sorry something seems to be wrong with Paisley. Does your vet think she might have von willebrands disease? usually if we suspect this on our patients we do a coagulation profile or a platelet check to make sure everything is ok before surgery.

She never mentioned to me anything that you just said. Paisley had her pre-blood work done and it showed she was a bleeder (not sure of correct terms). The results were off the wall high and the vet said there was no way they were correct. However, she was being very cautious and that's pretty much why the spayed was cancelled today. They took more blood and it was sent out to be double checked. If you think there is anything else I should ask then please let me know. Thanks

i don't know what else to tell you because i do not know which results exactly where high. Its good he canceled to look into it further with more blood tests. He should get the results tomorrow.

Hi again, I just looked up that von willebrands and I guess that might be what she's concerned about. :confused: She never mentioned this disease to me and even told me to try and relax because she truly felt the results from the first time were wrong. Paisley has never ever had a problem when bleeding. I accidently cut her once when trimming her ears and it stopped bleeding right away. I believe my vet just wanted to be extra careful and when she thought Paisley took a little longer than normal to stop bleeding today, it concerned her and she chose to wait. Your input is appreciated and I will bring this up. Thanks so much for all your help.

Please try not to think the worst until you get the results. You will worry yourself sick (I know it's not easy to not worry) until you hear back from the vet. It sounds to me like your vet is being very cautious which is great. I had a similar experience when AprilLove got spayed. Her blood platelet count was low really low, they told me it that this affects the bloods ability to clot. Well, of course, I worried myself sick, because we had to wait a couple days for the blood work to be sent out to another lab and they had to do a hand count of the platelets because they were clumped together. It turned out she had a normal number. (And I still worried the day she got spayed, and felt sick to my stomach until they called me right after to tell me she was fine.) I know you really love your little girl, and you are worried like a good mommy does. Know that we are here for you, and praying for Paisley to be 100% ok. Big hugs to you mommy, and to Paisley from me and my furbutts.

You have no idea how much you just made me feel better. I'm having some hope now that Paisley is just like AprilLove. Thank you so much for telling me this and I'm so glad AprilLove is ok. ;) Hugs :ghug:

I'd try not to worry. If everything else is good with the bloodwork i'm sure the one count was off. It could be that the blood sat too long or that it clotted alittle bit in the syringe before it was put in the blood tubes. this would effect the results. She was probably just really nervous and excited which made her BP go up which in turn would make her bleed alot.

Update on Paisley's Blood Work : )
 
Hi everyone, GREAT news. :D :D :D My vet just called and everything came back normal. :yay_jump: :cheer: :happyboun I'm sooooooooooooooo happy and jumping up and down here. She's going back on Monday to be spayed so my worries aren't over yet. :( However, atleast everything came back good this time and I do feel a little better about the surgery. I'm just so happy right now and I want to thank all of you so much for all the kind words and prayers. It truly means so much to me. ;) Hugs from Paisley and I :ghug:

I really love this vet. She makes up for all the bad ones in the past. :rolleyes: :) Thank you for such a nice compliment. I like to think that I'm a good mommy, LOL. :D

I am so thankful!!! It was so sweet when you said you left her napsack :cry: with her! I made an appointment yesterday for Juju to be spayed and several teeth pulled. She goes on Tuesday, the 19th. I will be crying buckets at the Vet. I pray that no one is in the waiting room after I drop her off! They will think I am insane. :eek: :rolleyes:

I'm just so happy everything is good now. She goes back Monday and I'll be crying all over again. I'm pretty sure my vet thinks I'm nuts!! I wish I could tell you to not worry but it's too hard not to. Too bad you weren't closer because we could sit and cry together. My fiancee was even in tears dropping her off the other day. He might just be a bigger baby than me. :cool: We'll be praying for little JuJu and hugs coming your way.
