Do you get the emotional Shaking ;) It seems like Bikini shakes when she is excited, worried, anxious, when some people take her, when she is hungry or waiting for her food to come... She looks at me and shake... its kind of cute! And she shakes when she is cold a little ;) Does anyone have a Yorkie like this? |
Yes, Scooter does the same thing. It always worries me. He looks at me with those big brown eyes and it seems like he's saying "Mommie, please save me!" He's just so precious. |
Pao shakes too when we are about to leave to go out and when he sees a squirrel. |
Luna shakes whenever she realizes I am getting ready to leave and she doesn't have a bow on the topknot... that means she is not coming.... she also shakes when she is about to take a bath, or when she realizes she will go behind the gate... Don Juan is much easier going... he just doesn't shake... |
Cody shakes in the car. Usually every morning we go to Mcdonalds drive thru for breakfast and I look over at him in the passenger seat and he is shaking.. I guess because he is excited?? He loves to ride so I don't think its from being scared |
Yes, Pixie quivers alot..especially when out in public and there are people around and alot of noise..i'm not sure if she's nervous excited or what!? people will see her doing it and and say 'oh! poor little thing she's cold!' and make me feel like the worst mummy in the world! |
Funny that you say this because the maintenance guy came to our apartment today. Rosie was so excited that it looked like she was having a seisure. It made the maintenance guy smile. I never seen her shiver like that before. |
Cocoa doesn't do that but, Daisy does. She is a chihuahua so its typical for her. |
She does the shaking sometimes. It makes me cuddle her close and just want to make her feel safe. |
Yes! idk why but Sophie shakes! My other 2 don't shake at all but she shakes most of the time, it makes me worried. Like she'll be fine, excited and running all over the place having fun but then i will see her shake at one point, like if she's just sitting in her chair. |
It probably is part of their character... likes us humans! I just thinks its cute because for me it's an emotional sign that I can detect... It helps me to know what is going on with her! I think she is easily scared but she gets reassured quickly! I'd rather a shaker than a barker ;) I like to hear people stories... it funny how they are all different! |
Jewels shakes sometimes. She is my more nervous yorkie |
:Puppy2: :Puppy2: Yeah my sweet baby does that when she's excited, nervous...or when she's around a lot of people...I just try and love on her and let her know it's okay but I don't think it's anything to be concerned about! :) |
If I hold the ball too long when we are playing go fetch Adie will quiver with anticipation. She'll stand there with one little paw up and such intensity on her face it kills me. Sooooo cute. |
Deiter shakes when we first get in the car. Once we are in there then it stops. He loves car rides. In the dark when we go out to potty he shakes the whole time. Always has. I guess it is because of the dark, plus he is always looking around the whole time. He doesn't do this during the daylight. |

I noticed that the smaller the dog, the more he or she shakes, for the most part. Maddie doesn't shake at all unless I give her a bath or have to yell if she's doing something dangerous...so appropriately I guess. But Sophie shakes ALL the time...worried, anxious, excited, etc. EVERYTHING does it to her. She's the baby and weighs around 3 lbs...I sometimes wonder if she gets more frightened because of her size... |

Boy do you have Luna trained..lol..coming from the bow queen! Anyway - Izzy is the same way - she is very well socialized and loves people and kids especially. But when we go to a new environment with lots of people she will shake and they always ask me if she is scared. I don't think she is but maybe excited to be there because once we are there for 5-10 minutes she stops shaking. |
Mine is still small. She is 3 pounds and 5 months... Maybe she just is insecured still... Sometimes she shakes when I bring her downstairs, it seems like she is afraid of height or something! And she definitely doesn't like the dark ;) When I give her a bath she shakes and her front paws just keep on going and if she was trying to swim away from me! It's really cute ;) |
Today was the first time Tank did the shakes for food. Three dog bakery. I think I've found a winner! |
Koda doesn't do much shaking unless it's right after his bath so i hold him wrapped in a towel till he stops. Allie though she would shake a lot. Especially when she was nervous. Her whole little body would tremble so i would snuggle her till she was settled down and then some. She was such a babydoll :..-( |
Sawyer is a shaker too. he shakes when I run the vacumn, and when he thinks I am going to give him a bath. he will come right to me if I say lets fix your hair; but if he sees me getting his bath things out he shakes and shivers.;) |
Shaking yorkies Freyja is a shaker. Sometimes there's a reason like: I am going out without her or we are going for a ride in the car (she seems to love the car!) She shakes so hard she vibrates. I guess she is a bit high strung. Patti & Freyja |
Jake has always been this way, but as he has gotten older and more socialized, he really doesn't shake much when he gets excited or is in a new place. He used to shake when I first was able to take him outside after he had his shots, but once he got used to it, he LOVES it. Jackson, on the other hand, never shakes. He is SO tough for a yorkie!! I've never seen anything like it! |
Logan shakes when he gets excited to see someone and almost always when we go outside now that it has cooled down some. I thought it was just him! :animal36 |
Bella is an emotional shaker too. She shakes when she get's excited, when I give her a bath (she doesn't like it) and when she is cold. |
My Jake has always been a shaker. I was so worried about him when we first got him thinking he was shaking because he was sick. His head shaking reminds me of a person with parkinsons disease. The vet said she thought he was fine but didn't know why he was shaking, so after awhile and he was still thriving I didn't worry anymore (he is 6 years old now). Sometimes he doesn't shake at all, but then other times (especially when he is excited or nervous) his head shakes really bad. It is just his head, not his whole body. It is good to know He isn't the only yorkie that does this. But to the person that thinks it is only in small dogs, I guess there is exceptions to all rules, Jake is 15 pounds! Huge :) |
Chipsie does this when she is excited to see us. Mainly she does alot of 'head nodding.':p |
My only Yorkie that shakes is Cash, the first time he did I got so scared I took him to the vet:eek: and the vet said it's nothing he's just excited or scared, lots of little ones do it:rolleyes: Now every time he knows he's going to the vet his little lip just trembles, it really is cute:) The only other time I see him tremble is when he's going to get snack:p It's like he's so happy he can't help but tremble:rolleyes: :p |
Oh when she sees me with snacks... she shakes and stand up on her rear legs... She is so cute :) She shakes with lots of emotion... they are so cute! |
