Please Help  Me and my partner have a huge problem. My oldest dog which is a male and his behavior is getting worst. He barks when he cant get any food. He snaps at us when we try to correct him. I really dont know what to do. He is a great dog but he is getting aggressive. I just want him to stop snapping at us when we try to correct him. It is causing a strain on our relationship. I really could use some help to correct his behavior before its gets out of hand. |
Maybe try a personal trainer? |
I would go somewhere and do an obedience class. |
Try finding a local trainer that is also a behavioral specialist. Your vet may be able to refer you to one. I was just reading Dr. Pitcairn's Guide to Natural Health today about emotional ties. He explains how our pets pick up on all the emotions in the family/household, so our negative emotions can have a not-so-good effect on their moods. On the other hand, it can also signal an underlying physical condition... either way I hope you're able to work it out :) :) |
How about some training classes. You might have to start all over to get him to know that you two are the alphas. |
