marking problem I have a 5 month old male who loves to mark my female. Everytime I take them outside, he raises his leg and there Kash goes..... Right on Kriket's backside???? I have never owned a male before and did not know if this was normal??? I have tried to take them outside one at a time, but as soon as he comes in he tries to go on her again! Any potty training tips for him? What advice does anyone have for me??? Thanks!!! :animal-sm |
Too Funny!!!!! I'm sorry but I am laughing my head off. I don't think I can write laughing so hard! Sorry!! 1. take him and potty him on leash or 2. Stay close and say "NO" when he starts the motion or 3. Take him out first and let him to his business and then take her out or 4. Take a water bottle out with you and spray him when he tries to do it. Don't know how well it will work since I never had to deal with that problem. Too funny! |
male My breeding males pee on the girls and they hate them for it...so they are not allowed around them without a belly band. Neutering asap will sure help...don't wait too long or he will get worse I am afraid..like inside the house. |
neuter that boy!!!!..... yorkierose, i would hate it too if my fiance felt the need to pee on me every time there was a "threat".....LOL........ |

Bless Kriket's little backside. She may need a PP raincoat. |
Thanks Thanks for all the laughs!!!! I crack up too! Everytime he does it I just want to get mad at him, but I can't help but wonder what Kriket is thinking???? I will try all of the advice and see what happens. I am thinking of neutering him, but I was going to try and stud him.... I don't know if I can handle all of the peeing though. :D |
If you want him to stand at stud you will have to use a bellyband. I make Willie's by using a wide headband (stretchy). I hem the ends and stitch on a piece of velcro fastening on one end. For pads, I get the thinnest pads for urinary incontinence and cut them in half cross-ways. They have a self-stick backing. Good Luck :wavey:  |
I read this before going to the store, and I was still laughing at the store! I know it's a problem, but it's also pretty funny. I heard that belly bands are wonderful. Good luck! |

Ha ha this thread really tickles me. I have a male and a female and he does not mark on her. I had him neutered at 7 months and the only time I have seen him mark was when we were at the vets and he smelled other dogs. I would get him neutered and use belly bands untill you do. |
:D Toooooo funny!! Thanks for the laugh. I loved the raincoat thing too!!! |
I have a 8 month boy and he marks as well, not on anyone but everywhere outside, inside.. I use a belly band inside but he is not housebroken yet. I need to get him neutered asap |
