Barking- She won't stop! :( Roxie is almost a year old. She has been spoiled a lot. The only thing that is bothering us with her is that she barks when she is alone constantly. When we go to work and she is in her crate she will bark the entire time. I just dont know how to get her to stop, because when we are home she likes lying in her crate. I just need some advice on how to keep her quiet. |
The only thing that worked for Buddy was coins in a can. I still use it from time to time when I leave for work. He is scared of it. Put some pennies in a soda or beer can, after washing of course. When she is barking unnessarily shake the can rapidly and stop. Tell her no barking. Continue that pattern until she gets the message. Hopefully she will, Buddy did. |
The only way I got my puppy to not bark was to ignore him from the beginning. This was a little hard and also got annoying if he kept going for a long time, but i toughed it out (A LOT haha) and after a short while, he got the picture and now barely barks at all when i'm gone or leave him in his pen/crate. He knows that barking/whining isn't what will get me to come to him. If you have been going to her when she barks, then she probably has learned that barking gets you to go to her and so that's maybe why she keeps doing it. I hope youll be able to find something that works for you. My suggestion can be tough to do, but i know a lot of people who do it and it works. It just takes time and patience. Good luck hun! |
Have you tried Pet Agree? Iread about this on another site & questioned a vet who says it does not hurt them and apparently works.:) http://www.kingwholesale.com/Shoppin...cfm?Item=10602 |
