the culprit I found the peeing culprit! One of my dogs was peeing on the dog beds and lots of other stuff. I had to figure out which one it was. I believe it to be Brea... I can't believe it! I thought she was the perfect dog!!! So, she is back in her crate at night in my room and I watch her like a hawk during the day. Why would a dog pee on dog beds? I had just washed and restuffed an older one the other day and as soon as I put it down, she peed on it! Why, why, why????? Is it terrritorial? If it is, how am I supposed to stop it? She goes potty outside and will use potty pads, but this other stuff is really bugging me. :( |
Hi, I'm sorry I don't have any advice to give but I thought I'd get this bumped up for you. ;) Good Luck!! |
It does sound kinda territorial doesn't it? hmm, I really don't know how you would stop it. Sounds like she's an alpha. Is she spayed? |
That's the way it is with our Emilee. She is the only one that is no longer allowed in our bedroom. She will pee on our bed if she gets in there. Not sure why she does it, she doesn't go anywhere else except on her pad. |

She really doesn't act like an alpha.. Tinka and Kaya duke that one out. No, she is not spayed yet. I have been waiting for her to heal more from her hip surgery before going through another one. :( She is almost 9 months old so I suppose I shouldn't put it off much longer. Do you think that will help? |

I'm guessing it was Brea that went on my bed, too. :( Bad girl. Like I said, she now sleeps in a crate in my room. I miss sleeping with her, but she can't have that privilege when she is naughty. I wonder why your Emilee only will go on your bed and no where else? Dogs are so puzzling at times, aren't they? I wish we had answers so we could know what to do! |
awww poor Brea Must be in the name LOL should have called her charmin..... JK My dd Bre can be a bad girl too:embarasse |

Ok, from all the dog training shows that I have been watching lately, they all say that peeing on the bed is a dominance issue. They are putting their scent over yours in the case of your bed and other dogs, in the case of their beds. Apparently any dog that pees on a bed (because your scent or the scent of other dogs is the strongest in beds) thinks they have the "right" to do it. The advise from the training shows is, that you must re-assert yourself as the dominant one in the household. (and this must be accomplished in multiple ways) Once she is put back in her place within the pack, this behavior should cease. |
