house training
 
i have a 2 year old yorkie male. he knows to go outside to go potty. if you walk him on a leash he will poo. everytime we leave the room or will not play with him when he wants, he will lift his leg on furniture or us! when he gets mad he will poo on our bed. how can we change this behavior? please help, thanks joe

Hmmm. Little body big attitude huh? I have seen a couple of episodes of The Dog Whisperer where this is an issue. I don't want to tell you what to do, but perhaps as punishment for pooping, he should not be allowed on your bed at all for a while. Right now it's too late to correct that. So perhaps if he does it again. I know the correction has to be done immediately otherwise it's pointless. Maybe a more immediate solution would be that "stay off" spray they sell. I have never used it, but my brother has and he says it worked. You spray it in the areas where you don't want your dog and they are supposed to stay off. I wish I could help you a bit more but I have a girl, and although she's a diva, she's never been too defiant or anything. Good luck and I hope someone can be of better assistance.

We are having the same kind of problem with Banjo. Who is 9 months and neutered. Trained to pee and poop outside. Used to be no problem. But now if we dont play with him when he wants or if we are out of the room, he poops and pees in the house. The little bugger. I am getting tired of it though. Yesterday he pooped on the stairs and in the hall and peeded. I put him on the deck for half and hour and then let him in the house and ignored him for another half hour. I put him outside again and he peed. Then I gave him lots of praise. As yet he hasnt done it in the house again. So now everytime the goes potty outside I give him lots and lots of praise.
I think they get to a certain age and are just testing us:)
