Trick class! I'm so excited! I just signed up today to do another class with Sadie. We did the beginner's class at PetSmart when she was about 6 months old or so & had so much fun doing it together! She still does the things that she learned then. Today I signed us up to do another class. I debated between the Intermediate class and the Trick Class. Sadie really needs to learn the stuff in the Intermediate class, but the tricks are so much fun! So we're doing the trick class first & then I might do the other one next year. Has anyone else done this class? I really like the trainer at our PetSmart...she's really good. |
Congratulations to you both. It is such a good thing you are doing with Sadie. Hope you have tons of fun and please -- post pics :) |

I think yall would really enjoy the trick class cause your baby gets to learn tricks that make her all the more cuter and she gets rewarded for it so you know she will love that! :animal36 |

And I enjoy it because I enjoy showing off how smart she is by what she knows! |
Congrats!!! I did the beginner and Intermediate there. It was a huge success.!!! |
I am glad to hear good things about the training classes at PetSmart, though I know a lot depends on the trainer. Roxie starts puppy training at PetSmart next Sunday and I am very excited!! :animal36 |

Good luck in your class! |
My two just graduated from their intermediate class and are scheduled to start the click and trick class next month. All with the same trainer since they just love her. They will be taking the trick class with their golden retriever girlfriend who they have been with through beginner and intermediate and who will be a year old three days after Archie and Willie. Their intermediate class ended up being just the three of them -- almost like private lessons so they really learned a lot. They amazed me with how well they did. Their trainer thought the trick class might be a fun "break" before they move on to advanced. I still plan to sign them up for agility classes (these aren't through Petsmart), but am going to wait a bit for that. I'd rather not try that during the summer---way too hot for me. |

Both of their beginner classes were somewhat small, but I took them to another class while waiting for their intermediate class to start just for the socialization and to keep them in the habit. That class was full and had one dog with some serious behavior issues. Sure glad that was not their introduction to training classes. A full trick class should be ok. Our trainer said it would be more fun based than the intermediate class. I don't know how many will be in their trick class as the trainer just set it for the time we wanted. Can't wait to hear what tricks Sadie learns. |
Id love to put Sam in a trick class but I think my niece would have to take him..... he does so much better for her. She taught him how to play dead and stay dead ...... We have to retake the puppy class too ...... GL on the class!! Keep us posted on everything!! |
I went to Pet Smart today and I watched their puppy class. The trainer was really good and his classes fill up fast. I also wanted to socialize him right away so I signed Kingston up for the class starting at the very end of July. The prices are going up from $99 to $109 on 07/09 so try to sign up early so you still get the $99 fee. |
