Potty Training Problems Brody is way too old for this junk. He was doing great until May when we took him to the kennel. Then it just keeps getting worse. He is 21 months old and have to say has regressed to doing it wherever. OMG what a pain. With is being summer and kids out we take him out every 1 hr to 2 hrs. He goes. The most upsetting part was from after my surgery june 8th. He is peeing everywhere. I can't take him out right now. Can't walk due to foot issues so I am trusting my dd to take him to pee. He is a perfect crate dog and today I started putting him back on heavy restriction. I am so frustrated right now I could scream. He know peeing is to be done outside. He know what go potty means. WHY IS HE DOING THIS. Were is Ceasar when you need him. Ok vent sort of over. Advise would be more than welcome. I did the search and have read tons of thing I am already doing again. What in there walnut sided head lets them think this is OK. TIA! |
Sorry to hear about your surgery. Sounds like your pup is worried about the change in circumstances. If he can't go out regularly, he doesn't have much choice but to go in the house. Maybe you could set an alarm clock so that you can remind DD to take him out every hour or two. I would have her give him a really yummy treat when he potties appropriately. If she'll do those 2 things - take him out regularly and reward him when appropriate - I bet he will quickly get back on track. Is he getting any exercise? Boredom may also be a problem for him. |
