11 Week Old Training HELP! So we have had Bella for almost a month now. We are crate training her and we take 1 step forward and about 5 back. We have more than half of her crate blocked off so she has a small area to lay, stand up and turn around. Well, MOST dogs will not go to the bathroom where they lay, well, not this dog. The last few days she has gone pee in her crate. I dont leave her for more than 4 hours and up until this week she has been GREAT. She has been going outside, having very few accidents. But it seems since Friday, she has forgoten everything we have taught her. I can go outside with her for 10+ minutes, say "Go potty" 100 times and she just runs around. As SOON as we come inside, she pees on the carpet or tile! I dont understand. I am getting so frustrated. I know she is still so young, but shouldnt we be making SOME progress? Any advise? I am going to talk to the vet again when we go for more shots, but I need help until then. |
i know every dog is different just like every person so maybe this is what you do but anyways..... my Zoe is almost 15 weeks and we've had her for about 2wks. We put her in the crate at nite and the very first thing I do even before I go to the bathroom is take her outside and she immediately goes pee and I make a big deal saying "good pee pee" and usually she will continue to sniff around for awhile and go poop. and then I just time things at about every hour-hour & a half. I take her out and I don't bring her in until she goes pee even if it takes 1/2 hour. Usually it doesn't though. If she is left alone, she's in her crate and every time I take her out of her crate, we go outside until she goes pee. She did have an accident in her crate but it's only been once or twice and she is left 6 hours on they few days that I work and seems to do fine. Anyways, I hope I've given you something new to try. Good luck - it isn't easy but just keep trying. :) |
