A Training/Vacation Needed Desparately!!!!! Hello All, [U]I am looking desparately for a affordable Training/Vacation for me and Nene! :( I need to get away somewhere out of the city for awhile but would like to take Nene' with me and do his training at the same time. I truly need some solid suggestions. I haven't been anywhere for the past 2 years prior to getting Nene' and in 2004 it was for medical reasons that I had to travel so that doesn't count as a vacation. I live in New York so I could use some peace and quiet. Nene' is driving me crazy with his excessive barking at all the sounds he hears from the building, neighbors and city life. Today has been a terrible day since I suffer from MIGRAINES. I truly love Nene' but today has been ONE OF THOSE DAYS. He desparately needs better training but I figure I could combine both training with a vacation sort of speaking. The training is for ME first and then Nene'. Like I said I'm open and appreciative to all suggestions. Many thanks in advance to all who respond, since I usually dont log on everyday. Maria and Nene':animal-pa :aimeeyork  :( |
I'm not sure what you need. Do you want to drive, fly with you baby? I know here they have some camp programs where you take your dog with you, its not a spa by any means but includes training and such. I'm sure if you google something there must be hotels, cottages etc. that allow you to take your dog, or are you actually looking for someplace where you stay and there is a trainer on staff?? I hear you need to get away and that part I DO understand!! There are so many beautiful places around NYC outside of the city..good luck. sorry I'm not being much more help.. Kathy |

I wish Wisconsin was closer to me. :( I would like a place within NY, or NJ or CT within a 2 hr drive or fly whatever is quicker and affordable, where I can have a trainer on site and at least a pool and other amenities on the premises and nearby. I failed to mention that I suffer from Fibromyalgia a chronic medical condition so traveling too far and any strenous activity such as carrying or walking or climbing is out of the question, especially camping. I hope I get other feedback. Thanks;) |
