Do BELLYBANDS Work? I got Rocco a little washable diaper, but I dont think he likes it and he walks really funny when he wears it, like he has something up his booty:D I just would like to know if the belly band really do work, and which brands are best. I heard that you place a maxi pad in it? Oh yeah and anyone know that name of the product that's used to put in food so that my doggie wont try to play and eat his poop? |
Stupid question I'm sure, but what is a bellyband? |
Are you wanting to use it for a breeding male or for housebreaking? I haven't had the best of luck with them - Wylie ended up peeing in his, which negates the purpose. I think others have had success though. |

Forgot - for the poop, buy some S.E.P. (stop eating poop) online - you sprinkle on their food and voila, no more poop eating! |

When my Rosie was a puppy she was a bit of a coprophagist (poo eater), but I found some over the counter easily chewable medicine at the pet store labeled for Coprophagia and it really helped. She didn't need to take the medicine for long and, let's just say, her breath has smelled like nothing but Iams for the 4 years since then! |
Hey There, Following is the product that you need to use for "poop-eating" http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/product_detail.aspx?item_cd=140110&click=5&s_kwcid %20=stop%20dog%20eating%20poop|775648503&gclid=COP Zi9%202v0ooCFSTWgAodyXAUdA i heard from many people is that this product works 100%. My baby boy never ate his poop so I cannot give my personal opinion. I do use belly bands with Roscoe and it appears to be working fine...Actually, he never pees in it for some reason so kind of learnt how to hold (until I put him into his xpen)...I got it from a YTer: Tiger's Mom...You send her the measurements of your dog and she ships the belly bands for you...You do use a feminine hygine pad (like always) along with it... Hope this helps! |
Thanks Everyone!!:D |
I have a question How do you stop them from eating RABBIT POOP? I live in the city and we have huge rabbits everywhere and they run around and sniff out the poop...Any advise?????? |
It would be great if you could get that rabbit to wear the diapers.:) |
1 Attachment(s) YES!!!!! Thank God, they do.... The best ones (and only ones we use now) I got off of ebay, but look fairly easy to make, and we put a maxi pad in there and if he has an accident, nothing leaks. It's been a life saver for us...... The seller is piddler*on*the*woof |
another supid question for me now..... are belly band so they don't spray everywhere? |
I got one for my little male, from petco. It worked great, he had been trying to mark everything , which led to pee everywhere:P even after he just came in from outside, so for about a month or so tell he stopped, i put the diaper on when he came in from outside. worked wonders:) |

1 Attachment(s) My Joey always wears a belly band unless we're gone and he's in his crate, or outside. I didn't like the wide ones very well so I made my own. It's wide underneath, but tapers up on his back. I made this one..... Hope it comes through big enough to see...:) |
hi, If you would like to try one of mine I would be happy to offer you 1/2 off your 1st belly band ;) just PM me You can see on my site I have over 100 fabrics to pick from... http://www.puppywraps.com/gpage5.html -KA |
I don't have any input on the belly bands but I can tell you about the poop.... I have been using the alfalfa sprouts and anise, about 1/4 tsp or less of each mixed in her food (canned), it appears she hasn't been snacking lately. Can't promise anything on the playing with it though because I know she still does sometimes. |
About the poop eating... I've been told if you add pinapple with their food that will deter the poop eating. |
