How can I get him... to also pee on the grass? He pees on the pads but when I take him outside he just kinda sniffs around and hops in the grass like a bunny  I tried putting a pad out there, but he just hops off of it, cause it probably feels weird especially if the grass is long, he kinda sinks into the pad..loool..So how can I get him to pee in the grass? Coco pees a million times in the grass so I thought he would follow suit. He's 6 months old right now. |
Somebody, anybody??? |
sorry nobella i have no grass where is live,, just beach sand... if you keep taking him out there, sooner or later he will go...and then praise him to no end.. good luck |
hmmmmmmmmmmm sorry I'm no help. Mine use pads...but Timmy will also pee outside. He marks every tree in my yard:D Mimi on the other hand is the same way your baby is....she refuses to use the bathroom outside. She could be outside for 1 hr and when I bring her in she goes straight to the pad. I never figured out why and how either. |
It Will~ Eventually come to them, it was winter when I brought Charlie and Henry home and we had to shovel a spot in the driveway, and Henry now still prefers to do his job on the cement, but they both ventured out to the grass too...We started a trip around the block sometimes after work and I think the sniffing and experiencing the grass elsewhere helps...Good Luck, yml:animal36 |
Like I have them play in my parents grass for over an hour just playing and I assume he will go but he never does  Maybe I should take him out during major potty time for him like in the morning, or in the evening  |
Yes~ They have to go first thing in the morning so it may be a time to use alot of praise and take a treat outside w/ you...Mine know they get treat for "Poddy Outside" "Good Boyz" and when we go in they run straight to the pantry... |
what I do is to take Leeloo right after she eats and every 2 or 3 hours....(she is 3 months) and wait.... sometimes they take a long time. This definitely takes dedication...at least boys gives u a heads up because they sniff around....Leeloo doesn't do that u can never tell she wants to go!!! Hang in there it will happen;) |
