Terrier Terror: Does this website sound like our darlings or not? http://www.canismajor.com/dog/terrterr.html These people train terriers of all breeds and I sure live what they are talking about every day. Hope you all find it helpful. |
Jack Russell Terriers are NIGHTMARES!!! A Yorkie is 20 times easier to deal with lol. My first puppy was a JRT (BIG MISTAKE) and I loved that little girl like you would not believe! But I had no idea how to train a dog and she took over our household. She peed everywhere, chewed everything, jumped on the furniture, jumped on people, chewed on their pantlegs when walking... she barked wildly, attacked other dogs on walks, jerked the leash out of my hands while running after a squirrel or CAR... I kept her for a year, and then my mom made me give her to a woman who owned multiple terriers and lived on a farm in the country. :( I was still living with my mom and going to college so I had to. It broke my heart and I still to this day miss India (my JRT). I wanted to get another Jack Russell because of her LOVELY personality, but decided on a Yorkie because they are still lively and energetic and intelligent... but less defiant. |
Good article!;)  My parents have a JRT and it's all true! |
I love JRTs . They are smart, spunky and cute! Unfortunately, I have yet to see one laid back or well-behaved JRT and they never seem to feel tired even after a whole day of jumping, running and playing! |
My friend has a JRT, and he just loved his JRT. He's the perfect house train dog. Every morning when he gets ready to go to work, he would just make a sound for the dog, and Lucky would go outside and potty then come back. Lucky hates shower, when my friend mentioned shower Lucky would run and hide underneath the bed. My friend has a 2 year old daughter and they get along GREAT. Lucky was really easy to potty train when he was a puppy as well. |
That's our kids to a T! "Click" |
I LOVE what she said at the end of the article because it's been so true for us: Quote:
