Potty question My 8 month old male likes to pee in "groups". He'll pee anywhere from 1-4 times in the span of about 5 minutes. Usually, he goes "most of the way" the first time, a small amount the second time, and almost nothing a third or fourth time. Why doesn't he just go all at once? Anyonce else have this happen, does it go away as he gets older? |
Is he neutered? What he is doing is marking his territory. This is normal male behavior that sometimes decreases after neutering. |

thats just a normal dog thing. most dogs do it, some dogs don't. my morgan will pee all at once in the backyard, but when on a walk she will squat repeatively every few minutes. Its called marking. Dogs will pee or attempt to pee where other dogs have gone to get their scent there too. to them its like a message board. when another dog goes to the spot they will be able to smell every other dog that's been there, what sex it was, and with females, if they are in heat. They can probably figure some other things too. its normal. |
