Pees on the couch and bed................ My 14wk old boy is learning ways to get on the couch and bed..the problems is that once he gets up there he almost always pees..I dont know if he gets excited or if we startle him....But I cant put him on the bed with me to even play cause I know its gonna happen...HELP |
Scooter does the exact same thing!!! I wish he would stop, my boyfriend is already complaining about having to wash the sheets every day. I think it is an excitement thing, but I don't know:confused: . I hope someone gives you some answers, so I can get some insight too. GOOD LUCK:) |
It could be any number of things causing the accidents. Getting up on the bed or couch may be easier than getting down for your furbaby. In this case, I'd try doggie stairs. But, even before that, I'd have him checked by a Vet to rule out any medical issues such as bladder infection, etc. If after the Vet gives their seal of approval and the stairs do not deminish the problem, I'd resort to having him earn his freedom. In other words...Back to Housebreaking 101 - By what ever means you originally used...x-pen, crate, gated off area, etc. GOOD LUCK! |

I just sent you a PM ;) |
As long as they are puppies in training, they should not be on the bed, and only on the sofa when you are. Never have run of the house or you will never get them trained. |
My newest one did the same thing a couple of times. I had stairs by the couches for the other two but I took them away now for a time and only let the baby on the couch with me. So far, so good. I want her to sleep with me and the other two but I know she is probably too young yet. She is about 4-1/2 months now. She sleeps in her crate in my room. Good luck. |
