I have the same experience with chelsea at my in-law house. I can't believe she peed at his leather sofa and floor. She is trained at home but for some reasons she will make mistake in that house. My in law has a chow-2 that mostly outdoor. Probably female teritorial ? or the leather is just so tempting. Wierd! |
Rocky isn't 100% trained, even though w/ peeing he's like 98%. When we take him somewhere with other dogs though, he seems to pee wherever he pleases. I think there was only one time he was at petsmart and didn't pee! That's cuz I was holding him though :p |
Put either a think poise pad or a light days pad in the belly band to hold the urine and not soil the band. For the girls, I'd just put a doggie diaper on her. (they have an opening for the tail....or...um, *nub* :p ) |
Eddie's just being dominate. We all know he's man about town - he's proving it to ya! As much as we know the reason why they do these things it doesn't stop us cursing the air blue when it happens! The smell of other dog pee does it to Dougal every time. PS our fingers and paws are crossed for Eddie's vet check next month too! We're all sure the vet was just playing it safe. |
Maybe he thought the couch was ugly....lol or maybe he didnt like the cousin. I'm sure he had a reason....lol lol |
There was no way Eddie would have done that, he is Perfect!!! They must have seen a mirage... no really, I am sorry that happen to you, how embarrasing.. |

I believe this also. Every house every room every piece of furniture is an entirely different place to them. I also wonder if this is why yorkies and many small breeds are difficult to house break, since they are so small every room is a different world to them. |
Hey, Mike! This should make you feel better ..... Toto peed on a stranger's couch!!!! :) My friend wanted me to meet a lady that she knew who had 7 Yorkies so we went to visit. Like a lot of people do, she seated us in her "formal" living room [gorgeous home BTW]. There were little Yorkies running all over the place and Toto [being the little anti-social that she is], was observing all of the action from the safety of my lap. I was so mesmerized by all the different little personalities that I didn't even notice that Toto slid off my lap and was glued to the side of my leg until I felt this really warm sensation! Yep! She peed a river leaving the whole leg of my pants and this lady's beautiful sofa soaked!! I have never been so embarrassed in my entire life. The lady just laughed ... she said "You gotta know that's the first time that sofa has been peed on .... don't give it a second thought!" It didn't help my feelings any and she wouldn't let me clean it up! I did grab a wee wee pad from Toto's bag and soaked it up as best I could. I have never met anyone so gracious and I will never get over that the longest day I live!! ;) |
