still trickling everywhere, help!! I posted a few days ago but noone responded... I'm still having the bad trickling problem with Butterfly! ALmost everytime someone gives her attention or pets her she pees!! I don't know what to do, any suggestions??? |
Is she young? that is a sign of submission. It pretty much saysd, "Please don't hurt me" if ignored she will outgrow it. But scolding will only make it worse. So just pick her up and reassure her that she is safe. |
I heard it was submission pee as well, she does it when she is excited to see us, when she is around other dogs etc. I too heard they would outgrow it if still pup. How old is your little one? |
My mum's dog Pebbles used to to do this when she was a puppy...when we came home she just got overexcited but she did grow out of it..it took a few months though I cant remember how many!!LOL She is about to turn 14years old soon! |

http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...itement+peeing You can also do a seach for "excitement peeing", or "submissive urination" and you'll get even more information! Good luck!:) |
Cesar Milan covered submissive peeing in one of his episodes. He said to ignore the pup as much as possible when first coming into the house, or letting the pup in. Only after things settle down a bit does one even make eye contact. My sister's min-pin did this, and she's been practicing this technique with success. |
My four month old Darla does the same thing. I'm just hoping she outgrows it. |
My Max does the same thing, mostly when other people come over. Sometimes he does it when I come home from work. He is 4 months old.:animal-pa |
