That is not an effective method of birth control. what arrangements do you have for keeping them apart. When Ollie was in heat, I would rotate them every hour or two. so each one got to spend time where I was. Maybe he is barking because he is separated from you. |

My friend who is a vet tech and has worked at animal hospitals her whole life and who works with shelter dogs too told me to try this when my dog would bark all the time. When he is barking, hold his little snout closed, look him in the eyes and say "NO BARKING" very authoritatively. You don't need to yell at him or be aggressive with him. He should be able to easily move out of your grip on his snout, but more than likely you can get his attention this way. It works for my dogs! I thought I was goign to get kicked out my condo!! They barked so much I got warning letters from my condo association. Now they only bark when either someone comes near the patio when they are out there, or someone comes near the front door or rings the doorbell. Other than that they are super good! OH and they will bark if a dog barks on tv or a doorbell rings on tv. hahahaha (that one I can't break!!) Be patient though, this can take a few weeks for him to show progress... |
I have been keeping them apart sometimes I let them all play together when Im out there but when i take her in he will bark and bark i will try what you guys have sayed thank you all |
