distrutive behavior Hi there I am new to this board but figured that I needed some advice from other yorkie people. My pup Gidget is 9 months old. She has been "fixed" and that calmed her down for a bit but now she is being super distructive again....we come home to spines of books chewed off (she jumps up to sit on the book shelf shelves) and then drags out records and eats the records to peices not just the covers either.....we have put everything up and away as much as possible but it is getting to the point that it is just crazy..... We bring her on over to the mess when we get home and tell her "no" and she just doesnt get it....she has just started learnig to potty on the pads so maybe she is a slow learner but is there anything that people have as sugestions aside from having a cage in the house? Thanks Jenn |
Bentley used to do stuff like that when he was around that age if we left him for long periods of time. I think they get nervous and have anxiety about being alone. Can you maybe confine her to the kitchen area or bathroom where there is less things to tear up and get into? Sorry you are having trouble. |
wHEN I FIRST GOT SCRAPPY I WOULD GATE HIM IN A SMALL AREA LIKE THE KITCHEN OR THE BATHROOM , HE ALSO LOVE TO TEAR THINGS UP BUT NOW I HARDLY EVER GATE HIM UP WHEN I LEAVE , SOMETIMES I COME HOME AND FIND THE NEWSPAPER RIPPED UP BUT HE DOES FAIRLY WELL NOW. :) |
