Cheap washable pee pads off Ebay They said they were washable, and did have the waterproof backing. I did an Ebay search for washable pads and came up with Crib pads. Found someone selling 6 pads for $12.99 plus 8.99 on shipping. This is a company, and after bying "now" I actually had to find their number and call them with credit card information. Was a pia, but hope it will be worth it. Went to the website, and these "crib pads" are large enough to cut in 1/2 and make 2 out of each one! So by the time I get through cutting in 1/2 and sewing them in I will have paid less than 22 bucks for 12 of these with shipping included there. Thats less than 2 buck a pad. Anyone interested, can go to Eby.com and put in the search button "washable crib pads". I will add to this thread, as to how they are, and how their working out. I've never used the washable pads, so I don't have anything to compare them to, except the throw away pads, which I'm paying almost 8 bucks for 32 pads at Walmart. Wish me luck on this! Lady said it'd be about 8 days in shipping! |
Out of the 6 washable crib pads I got off ebay for $21.98 (included shippng), I made 37 washable pee pads!!! OMG, thats is on my budget! With the price of washable pads, I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to afford them. Now I have them, and for the price of less than 3 packages of disposable pads. She's using them everytime too! I'm glad I got the 6 pack of washable crib pads, that way there will be enough for a full load in the laundry. Thanks so much to the ones that told me what to do with these pads after use and before washing. I hose them out in the back yard, and let them dry. Right now, just keeping the dirty ones in a plastic bag on the back porch till I get a load. I'm so excited! 37 washable pads for $21.98 and that was with shipping! |
Also the crib pads, said they were irregular. I found 2 small spots on 2 pads. One had a little dirt on it (should come out when washed). And another had a small spot on the edge that was too short, but I was able to cut around it. |
After removing obvious soiling, would a pre-rinse in the washer work just as well as hosing them down outside? Nancy |
