DiOrGiRLy | 05-04-2005 06:15 AM | Wee Wee pads are the Winner! Tiny Baci just started potty training 5 days ago and the only accidents he's had is when he misses the pad half way. I'm so proud of him he is so smart. It was rough in the beginning but when he messed up I would continuously yell "NO" then put him on the pad and say in a nice voice "Go potty Tiny, potty here" Then bring him back to the scene of the crime and say "No Tiny, Bad!!". After that I'd confine him in his pack and play bassinet for 15 minutes and ignore his crying. When I take him out I put him on the pad and say "stay" then say "go potty" just so he knows. On Saturday I saw that he was doing quite well so when we took the kids out for a few hours I let him roam free between two of our rooms. When I returned I saw that he peed 3 or 4 times on the pad. So I still praised him with a treat. The trainging is not that involved, constant or vigirous, I work full time so i'm not home for 8 hours a day. I train more frequently on the weekends and the evenings after I make dinner. There is one pad in his bassinet and one on the side of me bed in the next room, we goes in the bassinet before I wake up and when I let him out he does his business in my room. I'm such a proud MOM. Good luck to you all.... = ) |
