Tia's "get tough" program On Monday we began our "get tough" on training program for Tia's potty (I just really like making up official sounding names) Anyway, I am happy to report that she has only had TWO accidents on the carpet since then! Probably doesn't sound too great, but trust me, it is a HUGE improvement! I am so happy. :) My husband is thrilled as well. I just wanted to share because I'm so proud of how well she's done so far even though I really messed up on her training before. |
Good job Tia!!! |
 Good job!!! :bravo: |
Go Tia!!!! Good Job!!! |
:bravo: Tia, ur doing great  keep it up girl... us girls will get there and show our mommy's we can do it :D |
Way to go Tia - Schatzie and I are so proud of you!! Schatzie's doing the "no potty on the carpet dance" just for you!! (It's quite cute, wish you could see it) :p |
Thanks everyone! Tia had her first accident today in my closet at around 3pm :( I was in the shower and had left her in the care of my husband - just goes to show, if you want something done right.... |
I understand Aimee. Seems when I leave Bo with anyone else, which isn't very often, they report he's had an accident. He does really well with me. And don't worry, Tia will have a few accidents. But Bo and I are so proud of her. Go Girl!! |
Go Tia, I know you could do it. :) |
lol....... you sound like me...... except my plan was called "you screw up and youre out on teh patio all night plan"........ jk...... he did get the pictuer after i left him on teh batio for an hour though :p and we havent had any accidents since......... gosh, its been a while.... i cant even remember |
So what does the "get tough" plan entail? Stinky had an accident today and I was so disappointed :( |
She is being kept on a leash at all times (i'm just no good at crating her :() and is always being supervised. She won't potty in her playpen so she is either on her leash or in there. So far it seems to be working! (better than the No Plan method) |
I agree about anything being better than the "No Plan" method. Just wait, when she gets it, she'll really get it and you'll be so proud. Is she using pee pads or a litter box? What about Sandy? Does she go outside? |
Tia is using pee pads - I've tried outside and she just has NO clue what to do out there. Sandy does go outside, she only has very rare accidents |
Our plan is called the "go outside a thousand times a day and watch him pee plan." Trace goes, and I praise him, but honestly he has no clue what it is that makes me so happy. I know he's too little to tell me now, but what age did your dogs begin to let you know that they needed to go outside? |
