Pee Pee Pads Cooper is starting to tear up the pads. Isnt there something that I can put the pads in so he cant tear them up |
they sell pee pad holders at pet stores (petsmart, petco) |
Dakota started ripping up his potty pads about a month ago. Thats about the same time he started showing signs of anxiety when we leave him. Im wondering if he is destroying him due to his seperation anxiety issue. I worry about him ingesting particles of the pads. |
I've seen this question posted before here and it got me wondering. My puppy went on pee pads when we first got her because she was so tiny and we were afraid to let her go outside. After a few weeks she too started to drag the pee pad all over the place and tried to destroy it so we bought a plastic holder from PetSmart and it did solve the problem. Anyway we then started her on outside training cause I couldn't stand pee pads in my house it was just gross to me. What I'm wondering about is maybe the dogs are trying to tell us this isn't natural for them to be pooping and peeing in their "den/house" on an artificial plastic product. Maybe their natural instince is to do their business outside.... and this is their way of telling us. Just a thought, what do you think?? |
Pixie ripped her pads up for about week.... then I switched to the washables. Can't rip those up! |
You can try maybe taping them, but I just order this great product yesterday called "Wizdog" from www.wizdog.com |
