Need Advice So I'm in need of some major advice! My Female yorkie Zoey is 6 months old, she has never chewed on anything bad the whole time that I have had her. I have never even had to put her in a kennel. All of a sudden within the last week she has started chewing majorly bad. She has killed the carpet, table and the blinds and that was one day. Is this a phase that she is going to go through or is this normal? Also, if this is normal what do I do? Being that she has never been in a kennel, she has a horrible time in it. She cries until she makes her self sick. Oh ya and she is not teething because she lost and grew all of her teeth end of Febuary beginning of March. So pleases can anyone help me out. Thanks Amy |
Some people swear by bitter apple spray. You spray it on what you don't want them to bite and the taste deters them. |
She is teething |
ice cubes to help her gums, some extra chew toys, bitter apple spray, and confinement...... that was our "teething supplies" |
So Zoey is Still teething... that doesnt stop after she got all of her adult teeth? |
at six months she should still have some baby teeth left............ usually the teething period is between 5-7 months...... toby is now seven months and has lost ALL his baby teeth, he started when he was 6 months..... |
She may be losing those big teeth in the back and they chew like crazy working on those! |
Its the age and Shes probably teething. Chachi doesn't normally chew either. In one week he has chewed up a barbie doll, the cord off of our xbox, toys, slippers and anything else he can find. Obviously I am gonna be relieved when this little period is done!!!!! |
So how long is this going to last and what so I do with her while im at school? The vet suggested I give her a Tranquilizer in order to put her in her kennel and I really really don't want to do that!!! Does anyone have any other suggestions? By the way, thanks to all for the help!!! Amy |
